Imma take a quick break from Skyrim for a while, maybe check out this ftb thing for a week or two. Will revisit my assassin shortly.
I have been part of the SimCity 4, RCT, and 18WoS modding communities, and it was never like this. Granted, they had their own issues - SC4 had a really bad problem with cliquey elites (high-level developers or forum admins who treated everyone below them like garbage), RCT had more people stealing mods than making them, and 18WoS was full of people who could not figure out how to open a link - but MC seems to be unique in the "I want it, therefore I deserve it" category.I guess most of us don't know other mod communities, so maybe it's not that much different there
Mob Talker mod?My spidey senses detect a boob mod coming up

Mob Talker mod?
I guess most of us don't know other mod communities, so maybe it's not that much different there
Mob Talker 2 came out a while a go. Haven't actually checked it out so I don't know if it's any good or if anyone even makes things for it still.
Do you really wanna know?OH GOD WHAT IS THAT
That mod actually looks like it would be interesting to use for a story based pack.
Children and teenagers usually are far more selfish, yes, but many adults are, as well.I suspect most other mod communities attract a different age group, and different generations.
If you see the large portion of minecraft players as a young group (say, < 15) then I don't think it's hard to see where a lot of the kids that come over to the modded community dont share the same values as the other age groups. While the 'I want it therefore I deserve it' mentality isn't exclusive to kids, based on past experience I'd wager its more prevalent.
Well there are occasions where the immaturity of young people shows, his includedIn general, of course (e.g. there's a Coolsquid exemption ). Quite a few of the regulars here are young and don't share these attitudes at all.
I rather put it on maturity than age group. For example, SkydoesMC. His large foo-foo channel generally consists of rather immature players. And because of his popularity is what makes up the majority of MC players. I mean, I'm 14 and I'm more mature than most of my friends.I suspect most other mod communities attract a different age group, and different generations.

Why did you use skydoesmc as an example? It's a rather poor one, if one at all. Having watched his videos in the past, and been on his server, 99% of the stuff people say about skydoesmc is false. Edit: Can we go back to idiocy in Minecraft, guys? I don't like rage debates
I wasn't really targeting him specifically. Mainly, the fact that yelling in a gaming channel really helps pull up views. Why did you use skydoesmc as an example?
