I assumed AE could easily handle a long chain of crafting requests as long as the proper crafting patterns are provided and the network has the materials needed to craft the sub components.
And right now that is not the case, in unleashed 1.1.3
I just built this crazy factory to autocraft solar panels. All items needed are present: copper, tin, rubber, coal dust, redstone, iron, refined iron, glass. i have a mac with 7 cpus + 1 provider, loaded with patterns to make re-battery, iron furnace (from 8 iron), electronic circuits, copper cables, generator, solar panel.
if I request 1 solar panel to be built, it manages to make the circuits, the iron furnace, the copper cables. Then sits there idle with a pending request for the panel in the crafting monitor, waiting for the generator and re-battery to fulfill the request
If i request the battery, it still does not craft the generator from the pending request. but it will craft it if the battery and iron furnace are there and i request it manually.
if i have the generator in the system (plus all the other components), and then request the panel...then it will craft it.
I did notice the generator would auto craft if I manually put in a re-battery (not via crafting) into the network. But still does not craft the panel on its own
I did not see any red slots in the mac, so I assume it does see all the components are available to craft items for the encoded patterns.
so, the question is: what gives?
I thought the point of AE was so it would actually follow the entire chain and craft all the sub components, not wait for me to fill in the missing pieces? Maybe I missed the memo about how autocrafting works in the mail....
edit: the mac is doing other jobs concurrently, but its just crafting iron and diamonds using EE3 and minium stones...mac cant multitask?
