Some sort of way for mods to mark a block as "safe to move" or not for the Force Wrench/Dislocator would probably work wonders.

We had this discussion back in 1.4.6 with Frames. It does need to be a fundamental block property, rather than the -1 hardness hack that bedrock currently uses.

I think this would be a very good idea, particularly in regards to wanting some form of macro transportation like a true ship. Also maybe the Gravity/Portal Gun would also hook into this.

Well, that was a can of worms. I was just putting out a public safty message to keep other from my folly. I broked it so you don't have too kind of thingy. That and I thought you all could use a chuckle a my dumbtastic maneuverings. Still, interesting conversation, carry on. Feel free to add your own bonehead mistakes that can be used to warn away others. :D

I did the building guide thing :) lucky for me, and everyone else involved, it was just a client crash.

Since i've not used dartcraft yet, what does the force wrench do exactly? I know it lets you move blocks, but I guess there's more to it than that?

I really don't know why people think moving spawners, or even using soul shards, is OP. You could get plenty of loot and XP from vanilla farms, only difference is they take longer to build. Its really only a time saver when you think about it. Not only that, xp is less useful in FTB than in vanilla since there are plenty of alternatives to enchanted diamond armour, to name one example. I really don't see what the problem is.

You can move all the machines, chests, etc. and keep it's inventory. just shift right click it and you get let's say a generator. Place it down and it will work and still have it's inventory. You can pick up monster spawners aswell

It serializes the item you clicked on. Meaning, it takes the entire data of the block and stores it. So take a chest with items in it, it will save all the data associated with that block. When you replace it, it will recreate the block and all its data it had at the time. IE, the chest with all its things in the same order exactly. Or and MFSU with X amount of energy. Or an Igneous Extruder with x amount of lava and y amount of water.

Er, but not a mystcraft writing desk with pages...

Basically, keep it to one block items (no multiblock) and things that aren't connected to communicating infrastructures.

Well, I force wrenched a tesseract in singleplayer test world and that world is no longer loadable, so I deleted it. Note to self, don't force wrench tesseracts :p also I was using the vajra thing and I pressed left click and right click at the same time and instant client crash. Pretty odd.

Inpuretools by denoflions has the same thing. Its call a D.A.T. wrench. Actually works better then the force wrench as it can handle TE stuff without crashing. It works like a normal wrench with TE machines. It has an option to not allow mob spawners to be picked up. And if you have dartcraft installed with it the gems can be smelted into force gems. Anyways its a cool mod :)

oh my god, Vajra is so fun

It can do the following that nobody seems to recognize:

-Damage that's around the area of some of the top TConstruc tools
-Give you infinite warded stone/glass
-Temporarily break through warded stone/glass to destroy redstone contraptions
-Get you infused stone
-Get you broken versions of a huge chunk of blocks in FTB and vanilla
-Potentially crash/corrupt servers using a nice combo of factorization clay structures, the Vajra, and computercraft

You thought he was posting "Potentially crash/corrupt servers" as an intended feature? It seemed clear to me that his intention was to say "Vajra is horribly bugged and needs to be fixed".

Vajra isn't broken. Everything listed is a multi-mod interaction.
