You could also try having a constant supply of catalysts. Those increase the rate that the trees growing, meaning more apples. Not much else

Or, if you want a more detailed explanation instead of this incredibly helpful one...
  1. Use a Mystcraft Portal to take lava to and from the nether using Tank Cards, Boarding Rails and Loaders/Unloaders.
  2. Put the lava into three Geothermal Generators, all next to each other.
  3. Hook each geothermal up to it's own Batbox using coloured wires (Done with a painter)
  4. Have the batbox on the left and right connect to the one in the middle.
Done, fast and efficient power.

3) Why not putting the batboxes directly besides the geothermals? Saves wire.
4) I understand this as: left and right feed into the middle one? That would bring 60 EU/t production (3 geothermals) to 32 EU/t max output (the middle batbox). This doesn't make any sense, so you probably meant something different, but what?

P.S.: Is that avatar Roomie?

3. Looks cooler/Ease of access (depending on how you do it)
4. Like this. Just me, it works.

PS: I love you.

As long as you don't have more than 32Eu/t per packet, you're good. You can have 3x 20Eu/t Packets going into a batbox just fine.

As far as actual power production, I've got something I wrote on the topic of MJ energy production. If you want IC2 power, just make geothermal generators and run off of lava.

Also, having done a bit of research, I can definitively state that liquiduct pipes are made of win and awesome.

Currently, at a distance of 100 blocks, I can keep six Commercial Steam Engines running off of a single main Liquiduct pipe. That's 54 MJ/t production from one pipe. However, getting it to work is a bit... tricky.

You see, the Steam Boiler will output steam to a pipe, but it'll only output so much, about enough for two of them. However, if you use your wrench to change the liquiduct pipe attached to the steam boiler to arrow facing away from boiler, then apply a redstone signal to it and it will output significantly more steam.

Yeah, I know, that it won't blow up, because nothing is bigger than 32 EU/p. The problem is only that you can produce 60 EU/t with the three geothermals but only pull 32 EU/t out of it in the end, since the only output is one batbox, where all three lines collate.
Remove one geothermal and the output won't change (since 40 is still bigger than 32), the average runtime of each geothermal will just go up from 53% to 80% (assuming a constant pull of 32 EU/t from the final batbox).
Try hooking 3 cold induction furnaces to it. They should pull 48 EU/t (three times 16). With your converging lines like you use them, they will be furnacing on and off. Now let all three batboxes face a cable leading to the furnaces without a batbox inbetween, and all three will run uninterrupted.
(edit to remove the accidental double post due to a page hiccup this night)

Hey, I'm having some troubles with the industrial centrifuge. I'm pumping lava into the centrifuge and I have it powered by a near full batbox and it says "insufficient energy" in the gui. I don't know why its happening. Never really used it before.

If it ever lost energy in the last cycle the message will stay there until you complete the cycle and start a new one. Watch the 4 arrows coming out of the center and make sure they are not resetting -- if not you are fine.

It only uses 5 EU/t, so a batbox is fine, but liquid lava is ~40 minutes to process and should consume about 250k EU total. So make sure you have storage or EU generation to cover the total requirement.

Well i may not be an expert but ultimate solar panels in Ic2 plus universal cables from "mechanics" make a really fast and efficient power source and it may be a expensive to your resources but it outputs 512 Eu/t plus it can be also used at night unlike other solars and at night it produces 64 Eu/t Roughly

By mechanics do you mean mekanism?
