[Coffee shop]
"well, screw it" Sarah though, diving into the portal even as the rabid coffee machine tried to ram her ankles, hoping it would not follow here through. She regretted not being able to grab any of her things before the abrupt departure, however she still had her phone, and old Nokia brick, and her overcoat, which she only rarely took off, being one of the few things she had from her previous life.

OOC: Going first person
The Dojo

I watch the children's eyes go black. As they go into perfect stances I rush toward the back of the room to grab my sword. I scream at the parents here to watch the session "Run, these are not your children anymore!" Still rushing to the back to grab the sword I feel the weight of the situation collapse on me. Is this because of what I did that day. Am I forced to relive that moment not just in my thoughts but as the victim. I grab my sword and turn around facing the children. I have one choice, just like that day, to kill or be killed. I start to swing my sword, but I stop because even I with my fiery nature can't hurt these children I have taught. I collapse, and I think. Is this the end. Is this how I will die. Without fighting. Will I go gently, or will I not go gently into the night. I was around these children's ages when I attacked the girl at school; is this my destiny, to die in the same way that I almost killed her. No that is not my destiny. I stand back up, determined and fired up. I drop into a stance and prepare for what very well might be the battle that decides my future

Streets (?)

I gasped in pain as the concrete fist slammed into me. I thought I was going to pass out. My vision went blurry and grey, and I thought for sure that I was a goner. What did I do to deserve this?

Except I didn't pass out. Instead, as the color drained out of the world, so did the pain, and the people, and the terrible concrete man.

Yet I was fully conscious. So I stood up. I peeked out of the alleyway. Nothing. Where before, there had been a bustling morning street, there was just an empty road.

"Where did all the people go? Am I dead? Am I insane? Insane people talk to themselves, oh hell. Oh hell no."

I walk out into the street.

"Should I go to a hospital?"

Looking up into the grey sky, I sit down in the grey street, and think that, if this is death, perhaps I deserve this. After all, I had prided myself on being dull. An eternity of grey would be fitting.

I stand up and start walking, headed towards the downtown area. I didn't know what I'd find, if anything, but it was better than doing nothing.

The bar

Daniel was in a good mood, the day was clear, the birds were singing and there were plenty of women that were smiling back. Alas, he had business to take care of soon, so he turned slowly to the barkeeper, the sounds of his pants on the leather of the stool making an amusing squeak. His smile broadining he ordered another drink, just to get him ready for the long day ahead of him he explained.

When the drink did finally come back, he drank it in one go, letting out a satisfied sigh and wiping his face when he was done. He went to get his coat by the door, however he noticed something in the pocket. It was a black card that said in white lettering: "It is time". His smile becoming unnaturally large, Daniel started to giggle. "Oh today is going to be a wonderful day".

He strolled at the door, whistling a tune. It was finally time to have some fun.

"That was... weird."

I did a minor check up. No ribs broken, I wasn't coughing blood, I wasn't punctured, impaled, maimed, lost a member, castraded... Nope, everything seemed to be alright. Just good ol' boring Simon.

The one thing that did not seem to be alright was... my surroundings. Either I had a massive case of explosive diahreea, or I wasn't daydreaming again.

"Bloody hell, how will I fix this?"

As I reached for a broom to fix things up, I remembered the behaviour of the masked thing. That was... uncanny. Masked person enters, throws me with superhuman strenght, makes a bloody mess, throws a goddamn door at me - and the door decides to dodge me.

That broke all laws of physics - the man and the door, that is. It did not make sense. I started putting things back in their place, checking if there wasn't anything horribly broken or something. The manager would kill me.

Heavens.

I had a freaking superpower and I was afraid my manager would kill me. I guess guns are just more effective than flying doors. Either that or I am a coward.

Christopher Watson
Living Room, Watson's Residence

It's already 4 PM, his day has been as unproductive as one can be - afraid of bordering the lines of looking pathetic, Christopher stood up, stretched his back, and releasing a faint sigh he leaned towards the sofa, grabbing the remote to turn off his newly bough television, which he now knows: bores him. He started walking towards his piano - as his grandpa used to say: "There's no such thing as 'too much practice'.". He sat down, carefully placed his hands over the alternating pearly white and velvety black keys and started improvising an instrumental-like melody, which kept him occupied for almost two hours. He glanced at the grandfather's clock positioned next to a support wooden column, which it's roman numbers displayed in the positioning of the clock's arms: 5:40 PM. Slightly disrespecting his grandfather's saying, he came to the senses that yes, that was enough training for today. He stoop up, again, stretching his back, and being aware of his exponentially growing hunger, he decided it wouldn't hurt to take a step outside - find something to eat at the grocery store.

"I'll be back soon." -He smiled faintly, while carefully closing the piano's lid.

He left his house, locking the beautifully crafted mahogany door behind him, and holding on to his bag, containing his wallet, keys and other unnoticed props, he started walking through the sidewalk, putting on his headphones. He arrived at the "Pam's & Sam's" grocery store a few minutes after, located at the end of his already busy street, and greeting the owner of the shop, Sam Potter, with a light smile, he headed to the snacks section - trying to find something that startled his interest.

[Old Docklands]

As I saw the corpse shuffle towards me, pinioned by the stakes that held it, I froze. Not one single coherent thought managed to make it through my mind, as a thousand voices clamoured in my head, each proposing an alternative explanation. Then, the boards began to fragment, and I suddenly realised that if I didn't stop gawping with my mouth open, I was gonna be one hell of a pincushion.

As the splinters flew towards me, I threw myself backwards and down, arms coming up to cover my face. Textbook avoidance of a dangerous projectile. I felt some of the splinters carve into my arms and legs, but none of the wounds seemed to be too deep. A rhythmic series of thuds from my torso told me that my stab vest was doing it's job covering the rest of me. I exhaled sharply to prevent myself getting winded by the impact with the floor and then rolled away, fumbling for the panic button on my radio that would summon backup. I had no idea what was going on, but there was no way I was facing it alone and hungover.

Roll completed, I pulled myself onto my feet and adopted the stance of Kokutsu Dachi, twisting my body to face the corpse side on, with my weight shifted onto my back leg. One hand covering the face and flank, the other resting on the solar plexus. The higher-ups don't like us using non-approved self-defence methods, preferring us to rely on the nicer ones in the police handbook, but Richard had backed me up on more than one occasion. Besides, they can't exactly complain about me hurting a corpse now, can they?

[Jason]

[On the way to an abandoned warehouse]

"I feel like they are watching me" Jason says to his best friend Kyle. "Don't worry about it man, they won't pick you. You aren't gang material". Jason feels comforted by this but still has a hint of fear left in his mind. "Let's just get to the warehouse" Jason says.

[Warehouse]

Jason slowly opens the door. In side they find 3 other people all around a table. There are beer cans and and junk food containers all over. "Juan I thought I told you to.sweep this place up". "Oh sorry boss I was asked to play a game of poker. Brittany just got out she's on her computer". He nods towards a bank of custom computers at the far side of the complex. "Thanks" Jason tells him.

As Jason strolls over to his girlfriend he admires his custom set of computers that were made from parts the friends had "borrowed" from a small Tek 9 warehouse a half-mile away.

The portal took Sarah outside the coffee shop, and into an alley, one blocked off at either end by walls of concrete. Her momentum threw her into the air and to the side of the portal, just before the malicious coffee machine rocketed out of the same place, and into the sky above. Coming crashing down, Sarah would have been subjected to a cloud of coffee dust around her from the destroyed machine. Luckily for her, it appeared to have lost its malicious intent.

The Dojo
A lightning-fast punch was launched at Glade's torso, and it connected - but what happened next would be something nobody could have seen coming.
At the site where the punch landed, and in the instant it did, a small explosion, like several cherry bombs, burst forth, throwing the possessed child across the room, its forearm in tatters, bleeding profusely.
The other two continued their advance, but this time, they spoke, in perfect unison, even with their injured member.
"Run, Glade. Run."

Streets

Dennis' environment would once again change, people appearing around him, colour returning to the world. Had he looked at the alley, he would have seen the concrete barriers returned, and a coffee machine flying out from it, crashing down again with a loud bang.
Directly in front of him, a young man ran straight into him, making the two topple.

James Wilson
Streets
Jack's running was all of a sudden interrupted, as a young adult boy appeared right in front of him, and he ran straight into him, making the two topple.
"The fuck? What... oh, oh no."
Looking like he'd seen a ghost, Jack stared at the boy.
"You're the one she was talking about. You have to come with me." Jack said, grabbing his arm and pulling him up.
"Just follow me - you'll just have to trust me on this. Please."
With that, he grabbed the boy by the arm, and led him into another alley.

Should I trust these children...should I run; even though they were just trying to kill me. What was that explosion. Did I cause that or was it the child...either way I need help. I'm gonna run. I prep myself for the run, both mentally and physically. Within seconds I take off to the streets, all the while wondering where I'll go.

The Streets

What am I supposed to tell someone? Who should I tell? Screw it all I'm going home. I rush to my apartment, what else am I to do? Tell someone that this just happened to me, yeah right.
I make my way to the apartment and fumble with my keys. That was weird back their, kinda a Deus Ex Machina in real life...Drowning out that thought I think only of getting inside and calming down. The door comes open, and I thank the possibly existent god or gods that I am safe.

The Apartment

What do I do now that I am here? Do I just sit or do I take action? Why did this happen? I have to do something don't I...I decide to wait for now...even though I think I know why it happened. I say to myself "My only choice is to go back to that place, the place where this all started, the school.

Slowly standing up Sarah wiped a bit of dirt of the hem of her coat before stepping out into the street to try and get her bearings. Luckily she was still next to the coffee shop, however there was No way she was going back in there again without an armed escort. She sure as hell hoped that the crazy coffee machine wouldn’t be billed to her pay check either. She bent over, heart racing and feeling like she had just gone ten rounds with a coffee machine. Now how to get out of here? Walking to one of the concrete walls she took a deep breath and sprinted at the other, managing to hurdle over it, knees scraping painfully on the concrete, and landed panting on the other side in the busy street, getting a few nervous glances from people walking along the sidewalk.

Pam & Sam's Grocery Store
The clerk having gone into the back room for heaven knows what, a woman suddenly appeared at the door to where he had gone, moving a shelf in front of it to keep it shut.
One might say woman, others might say mannequin. Her skin was pure black, and her face was featureless. Her suit which she wore was immaculate, completely white.
What happened next was that almost every object in the store began to whirl around, like a small maelstrom had begun there. there was no wind, though - it was all being lifted and flung in a rough circle around the shop, as if by some unseen force. The mannequin-woman was waving her hands in the air. It was evident that she was the orchestrator of this chaotic storm, and it didn't seem too threatening, until more dangerous objects were picked up - disposable razor blades, knives, heavier objects. It could all lead to something fatal, if it hit the target in the right way.

Old Docklands
As Lorna fell into her stance, suddenly a bright orange light emanated from her left hand. There formed what seemed to be a glowing, neon-orange shield, with her hand holding its handle. It had appeared from nowhere, it would have seemed, but now was certainly a time to use it.

Abandoned warehouse
Jason's arm began to twitch, involuntarily. Like a charge was being put through him, it began to spasm, bending back and forth, almost overextending at points. This began to spread to the rest of his body, and on the ground, he was a spasmodic wreck, shaking and drooling, until suddenly, he stopped.
"Jason! Jason, what... what's happening? Jason!" His girlfriend wailed, helpless in the face of this attack.
Without him even asking his body to, he rose up, and stood. Of its own volition, it went over to the PCs, and placed his hand on one of them. The tower he was touching began to mangle, crush and become small, before then growing larger again, but in an entirely different form.
That which was formed was a quadrupedal, made of mangled wires, pieces of metal, and plastic. It was little more than four legs, about a feet long each, and a small disc-shaped body, the size of a hard disk, roughly.
It leaped at Jason's girlfriend, trying to latch onto her face.

Am I really going to go back there...It's my only option. I get my sword and start walking to the school.

Walking down the street
I hope I don't breakdown. I hope I don't breakdown. I hope I don't. I hope I...I hope....I...My thoughts taper off as I mentally reinforce myself against the stress of this day. I wonder what the people walking down the street think of me walking with my sword; it would surprise me if I don't get a visit from the police for this or the incident with the kids. Anyway here is the school.

The School
I start to open the doors to the school when the thoughts start to come back again. Why did I come here...why did I come back to this wretched place...I sink slowly to the ground next to the door and sob...what am I doing...someone will see me...I wipe away my tears and walk in to the school. For a school it is not very busy, probably because all the students are in class. I walk to the office and tell the person at the desk, "May I please have a visitor's badge?" She responds with the worst thing in that moment, "Why are you here? You don't look alright." No no no no no no no no, she can't see me like this...no one can. I respond saying, "I'm here to see my old locker, and I'm fine." She looks at me and says "Ok" She gives me a badge and I walk to the locker, I walk to it and I stare. Is this why today has been the way it is...because of that one moment by this locker...I proceed to punch the locker...whether to let out my frustration at the state of this day or to let out my sadness and anger at myself for that one day I don't know...

Christopher Watson
Pam & Sam's Grocery Store

Startled by an ungodly amount of unidentifiable shuffling-like noises, Christopher turned his head around a few degrees, only enough to be able to glance at what he imagined to be, maybe, a very reckless costumer, who tripped over a stack of cans. Instead, he laid his eyes upon a mayhem of a various set of items floating around the store. His natural instinct was to grab his bag, and flee from the scene, which he proceeded to attempt doing - though, what he hadn't notice, was the mannequin-like female figure, with a skin bordering a static, completely featureless veltablack, and wearing over it, was a completely pale-looking suit. She also had her arms waving almost gracefully above her head. She appeared to, most definitely, be responsible for whatever seemed to be happening. The sight of the creature made Christopher freeze in place for a couple of seconds, to finally shake his head off the shock and run in the opposite direction, which in the process he noticed: She was starting to lift knives, as well as bigger, more dangerous objects.

"
What the hell is happening here?" - He screamed internally, shacking his head once again - "Please, let this place have a back door!" - He though to himself, while running across the grocery store, aiming the staff-only area in the back.

He attempted a jump over the counter, which, mostly worked - he proceeded to try and bash open the door behind the same.

.:Evening:.

Barton State School
The locker immediately exploded when Glade's fist made contact with it, destroying its contents entirely. The locker door was completely blown off from its hinges, thrown into the hallway by the expulsive force.

Pam & Sam's Grocery Store
To no avail, the door would not budge. It had been locked tight from the other side.
But this was not to be all. A knife came careening for Christopher's head at high speed, and it did actually make contact, for the barest split of a second, before it disappeared entirely. Though he never got a look at it, the full image, like a photographic memory, was now in his mind's eye. The storm continued.

My mind processes everything in slow motion as the locker blows off the door...the hinges break...and it slowly falls to the ground...I start to run...all the while thinking of what I would tell someone if they saw this. What the fuck just happened what the fuck just happened whatthefuckjusthappened...Something blew up again. So it must be me, what is this some kind of superpower in an RP. I mean this is just crazy...If I punch shit it blows up. As I run down the hall I see the lady from the desk behind me with a police officer running toward me. Hopefully I can outrun them...

I blinked twice, as a bright orange glare poured from my hand and coalesced into a solid form. The shield that resulted seemed almost weightless, but very definitely solid. Well, in for a penny, in for a pound. I shifted my feet into Zenkutsu Dachi and pushed forwards, punching the face of the shield into the torso of the corpse. As the blow hit, I pivoted on my leading foot, intending to catch the back of the head with a spinning Ura Mawashi Geri as it recoiled from the initial blow. A heel strike hammered into the base of the skull would be a fatal blow to a living person, but since I was up against a corpse that had been confirmed as medically dead before I arrived, I wasn't overly worried about the fatal effects of the blow to my opponent.

Despite the fact that I seemed alright, my back was aching. I explained to the manager that I had been in an accident involving an awful amount of Heinz Baked Beans while I was sorting them, and I had to go to the hospital. Oh, heavens, it hurt so much.

As I left the store, I saw a bit of a confusion going on near the coffee shop I used to have lunch at. What was the name of the girl behind the counter again? Sarah, wasn't it? She was pretty nice. Still, I think that heading to the hospital probably would be better.

[Street]
Sarah stopped, wondering how one of the two people who had just been in front of her had appeared out of thin air. Wondering if this was person was somehow caught up in her own predicament she decided to follow the pair, sneaking round the corner and crouching behind a dumpster, close enough to listen in and view anything that happened, yet far enough away that she could bolt at any moment. Spending some time thieving had certainly come to good use.
