And then when we finally had the perfect language, America had to come along and screw it all up.. what with their fear of the letter U and general bad spelling all round.
Latin is a fairly logical language, with clearly defined sentence structure and unambiguous tenses. But then, that's what you would expect from the bureaucratic Romans...

OH GOD...

what did they do to lava production?

No mater it was OP anyways looks like that upped the power needed to neitherack. I thought it was 4000MJ before now its 8000MJ so yeah can't really get a self sustaining loop working with enough extra to do all the stuff I need.

No mater I just linked up my lava pool pump I have back at my old HQ. It has a sizable lava feild under the base I was pumping dry anyways and since I'm moving might as well use it. So Tank and Transponders away!!!

Oh and I fainly broke down and I'm giving the crazy costly (IMHO) ducts a shot.

GOLD!

Well starting to get the actual blocks made thats a plus.

PS making conduits and Liquiducts are a pain. Good thing I got all this unwanted lead stock piled up.

Liquiducts are just copper and hardened glass, so they aren't as big a pain as conduits, which then require it to go over to a liquid transposer for filling with liquid redstone.

Although, this does give me an idea... is there a way to re-crystalize redstone into solid form? Because if each redstone is .05 buckets, a tank would be, by far, the most space efficient means of storing it. Failing that, I wonder how hard it would be to create a liquid redstone container with a damage value that can store maybe one or two buckets worth that can be used in recipes which call for redstone, and consumes some of the redstone in the container when used.

That would be great. Compact redstone. 200 per bucket. We need to get KingLem to add that. Maybe some sort of crystalizer machine?

Or simply a Redstone Micro-cell which contains precisely the same quantity of redstone as one redstone is turned into liquid. Perhaps something like a few glass panes makes a half stack or so, since the container will get consumed in the process you'd probably want it fairly cheap. Then it's just a matter of plugging it into the Forge Ore Dictionary is functionally equivalent to Redstone.

Yeah that is my biggest issues with the conduits you need to make sure you use up all that liquid redstone or it goes to waste. So I just melt as needed and make a whole batch at once.

Eh, it's not that bad, one redstone is 25 mB, a conduit takes 50 mB, a cell takes 1000.

So it's 2 redstone per conduit, and 40 for a cell. That's pretty basic math, so you shouldn't be really wasting any if you know how to multiply :p.

I personally have a dedicated crucible/transposer, so it's a non-issue for me :3.

The point I was trying to get to was that it would be very space-efficient to store redstone in liquid form in an iron tank, but then its only use would be for conduits and cells, which is rather a shame.

Yeah, I know.

Cells sound good, but I'd rather opt for an upgrade of the thermionic fabricator. It should have a real tank and no melting capabilities, that would be great. I also wish circuit boards were 3 compressed rockwool in a line fabricated with molten copper. And that you could use those for circuits... errr, I'm getting carried away.

You do notice I do a lot of my work from around midnight to 8 am... Math really goes down hill in the wee hours. :p

If you have it in your pack, you should REALLY work on the gravity suit!!
If he can't afford to waste some gold on decoration (from personal experience, I always have tons of the crap, without even fabricating it from lava (just from mining) unless I spend it all at once on a project or something (looking at you, Thaumcraft)) then I seriously doubt he has the energy infrastructure to make a gravsuit, much less power one.

Saice, make a detachable frame ship or something. You got to.

Yeah I don't think I can swing the grav suit anytime soon.

But I do want to make a little frame shuttle miner ship something say 18x18 just big enough to hold 4 IC miners on its corners.

Running OV Scanners, I assume?

Do IC2 power storage blocks work well with frames? That's an interesting idea, actually, if that works.

No idea.... but as long as geothermal still works (ive had limited use of them in the past) I can just use an enderchest and pipe in remote lava form the main base.

Lava -> thermal generators -> mass fab, not really too difficult once you have some uu matter. Also centrifuge some lava for the tin for all the coolant cells... It took me a whole day to get mine, much of that was building the machinery to allow me to build it.

Not going to use the mass fab or mater fab. I dislike that machine and will advoid it and uu mater in any way I can.
