And here I just started my own void age spaceship design :)

I wanted to do exclusively iron/gold blocks but I don't have nearly enough materials for that, so I fired up my lava centrifuges and am making brass blocks for now.

Exactly how do I go about getting the electrum blocks as I've tried 3x3 and the compressor and neither worked?

On my default Mindcrack Pack, putting 9 Electrum Ingots in the Compressor works. The GregTech configs may not have it enabled for some reason on your installation.

whats a shoop? just wondering

It is a silly thing.

But I got it from my hatred for English and its crazy phonics. If the singular of Geese is Goose then the singular of Sheep should be Shoop.

On an unrelated note... will actually related to the OP. I'm looking into use gold because of costs. While I can spin it out of lava indirectly the reason I'm looking at gold over electrum is covers. Microblocks I can basically get 8 times the mats using covers. And while I think outside that would look cool inside all that gold would drive me batty.

I actually like the idea of building in "space". It gives me a place to use all those xycraft blocks where they will look like they fit in :) I can't wait till we get to use the xycraft glass- that is sweet looking.

For theme use, I should probably use the vacuum hardened tungsteel blocks for an outer hull. Those look annoying to make, though I did finally get my industrial blast furnace to the point I can make Tungsten. Hmm.. have to think about that. I also have to plan out my design as changing things after built will be much more annoying than building on the ground.

English is the perfect language, not a thing wrong with it my sheepy friend.

That is debatable. But is is also my only language so I really don't have an option here. But I find its grammar and phonics to be anything but perfect.

Those words decend from different antonyms and linguistic rules. Goose/Geese stems from the common root for germanic, russian, and most of the other pre-latin euro-indian languages.

Sheep has its roots from the Gaelic/Celtic influenced Old English, which handles tenses very differently.

It just goes to show... English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, clubs them upside the head, and rummages through their pockets for loose grammar.

You could always use those covers on the inside, but I do see your point. And Silver is harder to come by than gold, making Electrum more troublesome.

And then when we finally had the perfect language, America had to come along and screw it all up.. what with their fear of the letter U and general bad spelling all round.

I also just like the way is sounds. SHOOP! FEAR MY SHOOPY MIGHT!

yeah sorry I'm a bit silly at times.[DOUBLEPOST=1358805369][/DOUBLEPOST]

Actully electrum is easier now as it is what you get when you spin out lava. You then have to spin out the electrum to get the gold. It was a recent change to GregTech.

But still I just think gold and blue will look nicer for the out side of the base.

Now I just need to find some way to make lapus.

If you're looking for the perfect language I think you can search for a very long time. English isn't my native language, but I think it's tons better than my native language (which is Dutch btw). And the knowledge I have of German and French seems to indicate those languages are far from perfect as well.

Maybe scientists will some day come up with the perfect language, but the question is if anyone will be willing to use it over their native language. I'm pretty sure the majority of regular people will prefer their native, imperfect, language over one brewed up in a laboratory.

btw, I had 2 theories about what Shoop could mean: 1) Something to do with the internet meme "shoop da whoop" or 2) Something to do with a sheep in a suit (as seen in his avatar). I guess neither is right, but my second theory is the closest of the 2 :D xD

I'm looking forward to what this orbital base will end up looking like :D

Perfect language?

Loglan!

You won't find many people that can speak it, but I hear that thinking in said language does wonders to your brain :D.

Or its parent, Lojban

Actully my answer changes sometimes. I've been using Shoop for years (decades actully) ever since my highschool english teached did the whole Geese Goose Sheep Shoop thing.

Other answers I've used are but not limited to.

  • Shoop is the higher evolved form of sheep.
  • Shoop is Sheep that has become OP.
  • Shoop are a race of sheep crafters that forge da whoops deep in the bowels of the earth.
  • Sheep is actully the worng word you see it is really Shoop and Shoops.
  • The shoop is a sheep hybrid from finland
  • When sheep incorporate they drop the Es from sheep becuae testing has shown the public scores higher responding to Os.

I'm looking forward to what this orbital base will end up looking like :D

Thanks I'm actully setting up some centifuges at the moment for the much needed gold while I build the sandstone structure.

I really need to replace my long fall boots.

Anyways I spent 3 hours getting all of this built.

Basically it makes gold dust at the end of all this crap. With some extra stuff (tin, nickel, and tungsten). I'm using neitherrack to make lava. I also got over on the side a sandstone making setup.

The plan.... Go play Dark Souls until I got enough to get more work done.

There is Z. Make a cobblegen, feed it into a macerator/pulveriser to make it into sand, then run that through a factorisation packager.

I do something like that. The cluster near the bead is two igneous generators making cobble. They go into two pulverizers and into a chest. There are two auto crafter. One makes sandstone and returns it to the chest the other takes the sand stone and makes it into smooth sand stone and sends it to the barrel.
