Oh.Yep. That's actually how it saves the options selected via the video settings.
Thought it saved it per-world, but what do I know?

Those were his own machines he changed. Mixed metal ingots actually became cheaper and don't need railcraft stuff any more to make.In the last 1.4.7 update this was in the changes:
I changed tons of Crafting Recipes, including Mixed Metal Ingots, Dense Copper Plates and almost every Machine. I won't add any Config to revert that massive change!
.... another barrier: My user base fights mods that make things LESS OP or more difficult, such as GregTech.
Oh well, what can ya do?

one tries to play with that stupid mod and its retarded nerfs trying to change the configs that not even einstein understands that stupid mess, but no, he has to fuck up your life by making whatever he wants whoever he wants, and the FTB developers don't even CARE about it. Next update I'm gonna remove that crap stupid addon even if it corrupts my world!

Well, all I can say is that when I found out about these, I felt so dirty that I just straight-up deleted my entire FTB directory except for the launcher itself. All I want is verification about the state of these "features", so I can purge myself of this horrible feeling.
1) I think it's almost general knowledge that the Redpower block breaker can break obsidian, but it doesn't quite make sense since it's made from an iron pick. Not just that, this also means that when paired with a lever and a stone pick it turns to a slow infinite-durability diamond pick/shovel/everything. Is this intentional?
2) Traincraft steel in Gregtech machines. I don't even... Ughhhhhh.....
3) Combining the Thaumcraft "Boots of the Traveller" with Redpower microblocks can result in a staircase of stupidly high upward speed. Really??
And lastly...
4) The Thaumcraft infernal furnace along with the added smelting recipes can result in a vis-to-metal conversion that's pretty slow, but nonetheless scary. What do?
I'm reminded of people picking on the guy in class who "ruined" the grading curve, instead of studying and getting a good grade on their own merit

lol something else.Didn't you support me when i complained about GT?
Or is this about something else?
Tell them about the easier options that come with GT (sapphire lapatrons are awesome- all the ingredients stack!!)
You could also tone down some of the INSANE options with a custom config- steel tools, but no titanium-diamond drill. Half the power needed for UU matter.I my own opinion- if you're willing to put the effort in early, GT can make it a lot easier later on (fast ore tripling, crazy amounts of iron in the nether, boosted geothermals, gas turbines and zombie power- my mate built an awesome self powered enchanter with Minefactory, 4 centrifuges and the zombie meat byproduct from the pigmen)
Play up the positive aspects of the mod (such as the alternate recipes for things like circuits and assembly table chipsets) and the long-term benefits of the more advanced machinery. I personally think that Gregtech is an awesome mod; a lot of people seem to be dead-set against it simply because of the high resource requirements but I think that it's so easy to amass mountains of resources in FTB these days (particularly in Ultimate) that it benefits my game experience to have something to actually use those resources for .. otherwise, what's the point in having/getting 'em?
Personal opinion, of course.
All I can say is this: there will be far, far more people who'll be pissy about GregTech when that gets implemented in the official packs. One of the main things I like about GregTech is its configurability, but apparently, configuration is overpowered. Makes me wonder how difficult a little "patch" for those new, ahem, features would be to make/We used to run gregtech with all options set to easy mode. There was no way (that I found) to un-do the iridium plate recipe, so we made a trading outpost that implemented the old iridium recipe with world protection around it.
That was going good for about 5 months... Then the update came: gregtech made all kinds of new plates, interfering with basically every mod's stock "IC2 recipe" and there is no config for it. Infact, he is boastful about there never being a config for it.
