You spawn next to a well generated village in a coniferous forest. The village has 3 tinker construct rooms, a liquid smelter, mystic craft room, bee and forest guy. The surrounds biomes are mountains, garden, origin, and just south is a hugh barley fields.

A decent island seed -8546054723690260253. Its a decent size island mountain forest. It can be a good island survival map, its not those tiny islands with a tree business.

Just got 2 TiCo houses and just a forest dude. BUT I found two dungeons relatively close to each other, 1st dungeon is at x:294 z:218, the second is at x:283 z:229

1.5.2 world gen....tested on FTB Unleashed 1.1.6 (default mod setup)

Landed me on a slime island...dove off and found a town near some fairly flat area for building. I don't know if the Islands are static. The town should be where it was though. Right next to spawn. Yet a lot lower.

Seems islands aren't static.

My username is usually Triaxx2. When used as a vanilla generation world seed, it drops you on a flat plain facing an extreme hills, with a desert behind and a forest to the right. The left is more hills, and a small lake. Head forward and right around the mountain for a village with two TiCo villagers and a nearly complete smeltery. The forest even had a surface pool of lava.

Biomes of Plenty Generation drops you on top of a surprisingly deep river. To one side is a very tall Sacred Springs Biome, to the other is tropics. Across a small bay is a Timber Biome, backed by a Badlands and Tundra. Four hundred or so blocks south is a Mesa and a Dead Swamp, followed by 5000 blocks of incredibly uninteresting ocean.

This is an excellent seed!!! Heck of an island survival scenario to be played. Love it!!!
 
For Horizons modpack try the seed Unleashed, you start on a very small island with no trees but with a volcano nearby.
 
For Direwolf20, try "IKAAE". It's like a survival island type thing, where you spawn on a single solitary heathland island, with a spout of oil in the north and a floating slime island. With biomes o plenty

Also, "ikaae" is pretty cool as well. Spawns you right next to a village
 
I have been really pleased with the spawn area of the seed I am currently using, it has a desert village in sight of spawn to the north, a second desert village north east of the span. Dead north is a Magical Forest Biome. West is a cherry tree biome. South and slightly west is a woodlands village. There are also extreme hills, swampland, jungle, and plains biomes in the surrounding areas.

Nicest spawn seed I have found so far for this pack...really having trouble finding ones I like.

Lots of easily flattened area near some nice mountains.
Missing Desserts...the closest one is way north of spawn (past two villages).

For the DW20(with BoP) I found one that spawns you in an area where an ocean biome, a cherry blossom biome, and a magical forest all meet. There's a village close by in the chery biome with 2 tinker huts and there are plenty of exposed cave entrances. perfect for those who favor a magical focus. Also an exposed zombie dungeon in the magical forest.
