You have to be on the right level to mine it.....there is actually more of it than last time.
But is it just me, or is there really almost no iron in the Mindcrack pack (right now checking the DW20 pack as well). I noticed this bit in the TE config:
Code:
        I:ore.iron.clusterSize=8
        I:ore.iron.numClusters=2
This means a maximum of 16 iron per chunk, The vanilla minecraft wiki says that there are on average 84 iron ores per chunk. I found stacks of all kinds of ores before finding my first iron, but perhaps I was just unlucky, and the TE iron generation is in addition to vanilla generation?

It could be how the new generation is, they are saying there are 84 iron per chunk reaching from ground level to bed rock but the new generation is suppose to be a certain layer so that might be why there is less iron, then you also got to factor in how much other ore is being generated in the chunk.

These settings ADD to vanilla ore generation, they do not replace it. So you still have on average 84 iron per chunk + more depending on the TE settings

I'm getting fatal errors in both the Direwolf and Mindcrack modpacks.

It talks about read timeouts and download problems but it seemed to download just fine. Also, other modpacks work.

Probably can't conect to dropbox to download the vertsion.txt for some mods. all of us see this error. ignore it

When you have NEI open, click on the "Options" button and switch from "Cheat Mode" to "Recipe Mode".
You can still look up recipes in cheat mode. Just hover over the item/machine in NEI and press "R" to show the recipe...or if you hover over an item/ingredient and press "U", it will show you what can be made with that item.

Tonight will see the first of the main 1.4.6 mod packs added onto the FTB Launcher. Initially the Mindcrack and the Direwolf20 packs will be added, with more packs added soon.

These packs should be added to your launcher automatically.
Hey slowpoke, just wanted to ask, I've heard that you are hosting "The Mindcrack Server." is this true? or a rumor?

Um... except the game doesn't load. fatal error. Can't really ignore that.

FML is trying to download http://files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/bcprov-jdk15on-147.jar
After clicking ok on the fatal error popup, it just hangs there at 0% and does not progress:

The really stupid part is that I can click on that link right here in my post and it downloads fine.

Please fix the list of mods in the launcher so it's in the same order in each pack, preferably alphabetical, and use the same name ie: IC2 vs Industrial Control 2, Redpower vs Redpower 2. Also, put the pack logo in the scrollable part so we can see more than five lines of mods. Also, in the news section, we can see the BB coding of your text. This would all make it cleaner and more professional.

There is an entire section at the end of the forum list for Web and Launcher Feedback.

sweet and all but what about updating the "FtB beta pack A (v12)" to MC 1.4.6 with redpower2 ? any idea when we can see this my server is waiting for it.

For the complete pack you'll probably have to wait until the premium members that got their own pack make their videos so they can get some money/exposure from this situation before we can play.

Slow said in a stream yesterday that the 'Beta Pack' will never be updated because it is just a beta.
