So I was recommended grabbing a couple of mods out of the pack and focusing on learning those. So I have been working on a few: Tinker's Construct, Bibliocraft, Botanica, and Blood Magic. I've reached an end to Tinker's construct and feel I know how to do anything in it (read the in-game documentation back and forth, can make any of the tools, etc) so I'm not worrying about it. I have a little of bibliocraft down, made a few weapon racks, tables, chairs, and bookshelves. I've been focusing on Blood Magic, with a little bit of Botanica to help me get started in Blood. (I have progressed enough to make a Fallen Kanade flower which regens me, allowing me to sacrifice a lot of health to fill the altar. I should note that our current Modpack does NOT have Thaumcraft.
Now I'm at Tier 3, and working on upgrading all the runes before I move to Tier 4. I have built a really awesome blood temple that is already set up to the tier 5 dimensions and should look pretty sweet when it's all done.

Now, I want to make the blood flow. I am excavating a space under the altar to put a blood farm. I want to use the ritual Well of Suffering, alongside some suggested Powered spawners. I am working on getting the spawners (I need emeralds. :/) and making enough ritual stones, etc.

What I want to do is this. I want the ritual to be set up in a 11x11x5 room directly under the altar (Using the altar as the ceiling, since from what I read there's a limitation to the reach of the ritual. I want to put four spawners in the room, one in each corner.

How I want it to work is that I have made a Sword Stand out of Bibliocraft, which provides a Redstone current when a sword is put in it. I want to be able to walk up to the altar, put my sword in the stand, and have it not only power the spawners, but also resume the ritual and light up the temple with some redstone lamps I have been finding in the game (Ruins mod).
I would really, REALLY appreciate some help with the best way to set this up. I'm a complete novice when it comes to many of these mods. So if anyone could offer some advice, build suggestions, or other mod resources to be able to make this as awesome as possible I'd appreciate it.

I'll post pictures of the temple if requested. Please let me know if anything else is needed from me, okay?

Hm. Seems doable. If you are using the MFR spawners, they can be disabled with a redstone current, so just setup a NOT gate (Basically, something like ~D/~~~~ where ~ = Redstone D = A block and / = a redstone torch). As for the ritual, I think it can be disabled via redstone, so just setup the same thing. Lamps: Just hookup some redstone (or wireless redstone, much easier) to the lamps, connected to the sword stand. That should do it, unless I misunderstood your post.

Holy cow. This sounds great, and I, for one would love to see some pictures.

As for some help on the mechanics, the master ritual stone can react to redstone signals, but iirc the signal turns the ritual off. You will need an inverter there. Tinkers mechworks, which comes with tic, has a wireless redstone mechanic that can be very compact. Unfortunately, I don't know how to use it and cannot point you to anyone who does. As for the spawners, never used them, but witches will regenerate themselves faster than the well kills them. A bit exploity, but simpler if that's what you want.

Edit: necessary summons in case I forgot a blood magic thing or two @Gideonseymour @Padfoote

Correct.

This also is more of a redstone / design question rather than a BM question, so I'm far less useful here. :p

If you've got MFR you can use rednet cable and a controller to make a not gate, or Project Red has a Not gate block.

I have MFR, but I know not how to use it. Are there any simple tutorials around I can look at?

Lol thanks! I have the glowstone glass at the top so that the beacon lights from the tier 5 beacons shoot through them and into the sky. It should look amazeballs.

You said you have a thing from Botania that regens you. Is this area of effect?

If so, you can put it in your well of suffering and not have to power the spawners. Keep your victims alive in perpetuity (name tag them so they don't despawn) and save on power/mob essence :)

If not, purple crystals from geostrata work perfectly.

Or use witches, which throw heal themselves

The Fallen Kanade apparently only works on players, I've never seen it work on mobs.

Also it needs mana to work, which I've been having *some* difficulty providing regularly. I've accidentally killed myself a few times filling my altar cause the regen effect would stop in the middle of a spaz of right clickyness... :/ Which is why I want to get this working.

Actually I got the ritual set up now, I just need to get enough XP to make the powered spawners. I need 30 levels per spawner I use. Ugh. Anyone got advice for how to get that up quickly?

I would say... Find a vanilla dungeon, setup an XP grinder...

Alternately, a Thaumcraft dungeon, if you've got it, can make for an awesome XP grinder. Wall off the Zombie spawner, and give it an L shaped space around the spawner, then use slabs to stop zombies from getting through. Then you can kill them and the XP can flow underneath the slabs to you.

Since you've got MFR, jailer balls can be used to capture witches, and they won't despawn when released, and will heal themselves fast enough the well can't kill them.

Pity. It's so well designed for that kind of thing. Have you got Twilight forest? The tall thin oak trees have cave spider spawners in the upper branches that can be modified to work pretty well.

Why do you need 30 levels per spawner?

The Powered Spawner requires you to put it in the anvil with a broken spawner of the type of mob you want to have (I have a blaze spawner and a bazillion zombie spawners) and put them together, but it requires 30 levels to combine. However when done, applying power to the spawner makes it spawn that type of mob.
