Ah. Do you have Extra Utilities? If so, a few pieces of cursed earth will spread to the entire ritual area, and spawn mobs in relatively large quantities, and can be turned off by applying redstone signals to lamps. Natural sunlight destroys CE, but artificial lighting doesn't. Plus you get the neat Division Sigil, unless you get CE from someone else on the server.

Also MFR has conveyor belts, if you'd like a larger mob spawning area and can't fit it all under the well. You can have them spawned, dropped onto conveyors and hauled beneath the well. They can even go up slopes.

Wait really?

That's awesome! I actually found a division sigil in a chest while exploring, but I can't do the ritual in my area since the rite needs to have direct moonlight and the area I want to spawn them in is under my whole facility.

Can I dig up the earth and move it?

Yes, but you'll need a silk touch shovel. Since you've got tinkers, I recommend a silk touch excavator with a cobalt head and all the redstone you can afford. It starts spawning monsters very quickly, so you'll want to be able to chop as much of it out as possible. If you have insane amounts of resources, autonomous activators with silk touch shovels can be set up to dig it automatically at the flip of a lever. Annoyingly Excavators only do one block at a time.

Okay so use the resin stuff out of tinkers to make a silk touch. It only takes one block? Grr..

Sorry, I meant to say excavators in Autonomous Activators only do one block. By hand they do the standard 3x3.

Alumite works just fine.

oh okay I can do that. Will the cursed earth spread under bricks? Like can I have bricked off areas with good lighting on top of dirt around the ritual that I can dig out safely?

Cursed earth will only spread if there are other dirt blocks directly by it. Even if it did it would burn in the daylight.

What could do is place down some inactive redstone lamps, and run MFR Rednet cable to all of them, with a lever near the table. As soon as the Cursed Earth Spawns, hit the lever and the lights should stop anything from spawning while you dig.

I believe it will spread to dirt blocks under bricks, but don't quote me on that.

Okay so I've got it running pretty nicely now. Got a Blaze spawner and a zombie spawner running and I generate LP at a steady trickle. Not gonna hit my 1 million network cap anytime soon yet, but I'm getting there

I am powering the spawners with a zombie generator being fed a perpetual supply of sugar, rotten flesh, and water. This is working pretty good but I'll probably have to automate the flesh/sugar feeds too. (Can be done vanilla using hoppers and chests, methinks.

Anyways, since people expressed interest in it, I thought I'd share. The only thing really stopping me from hitting Tier 5 is my noted lack of beacons. Which stems from my lack of wither skellie skulls.

If it's OK with you, I'm going to mimic your build because DAMN. Seriously though, great job with this build, glad I could help (even a little) with the mechanics behind it!

Edit: just realized that you are the first person I've seen use swirly glass and make it look good.

while build looks good and all, i, personally, fail to recognize it as a Blood Temple.

cuz in my image it's a grim and Gothic structure with dark color scheme and optional demonic symbolic.

on the inside it should have a walkway leading to an altar, and on the sides of the walkway there should be blood flowing.
walls' color scheme, in addition to dark colors should also have red. maybe some twisted faces weeping blood.demonic symbolic is quite welcome.

now that i think about a crucified upside down villagers would fit quite nicely here. can someone make happen? pwetty please? :)

Well thanks! You're more than welcome to use the design. I was almost sure it had already been done but I didn't see anything like it on my preliminary searches so I did it myself.

As for the grim and gothic structure, it clashed with the nice house that the temple fits in the back yard to. Think of this temple as a nouveau cutting edge temple trying to do the clean cut cult appearance.

... underneath I plan on filling with cursed earth and blood pools and demon summoning chambers. Hell, if I could make a villager spawner I would put it in the Well of suffering grinder. Maybe a few crucified for aesthetic purposes.

[Important EDIT] I was just alerted that Thaumcraft is going to be added sometime in the next few days. I started to explore that mod before and am happy to utilize stuff like sinister nodes to further my spawn rate in the temple.

... Now I need to work on my Thaumaturgy Tower Designs
