You can put a World Integration Upgrade in a Item Transfer Node and it put it on a block in between a block of water and a block of lava, and it will generate cobble at a decent rate. The more world integration you have in the node, the more cobble will generate at a time. You can probably set something up like this using Buildcraft and Extra Utilities.

Ive tried a couple times before, and I didn't know you needed the world interaction upgrade. half my test world is gone. to the derp thread!
 
Speed Upgrades and more World Interaction Upgrades will help speed things up. Also add a bunch of auto tables to make compressed cobble. It's worth it for more emc

Doesn't it wield the same amount of emc as when it was not compressed?
like 1 compressed cobble=9 emc and as you need 9 cobble (with 1 emc) to make one you don't gain or loose emc?
(if the thing you use to burn it for emc can't keep up it might help as it has to do less items)

actually, says here 1 compressed cobble is 9 Emc
