I format a 1 mil or a 16 mil storage cell from Extra Cells for all my ingots(You would not believe how many ingots putting an ore through an rotary craft extractor gets you), and fill up a couple drives with 1-4k cells for all the extra junk.

I'm even more hurting for redstone right now. Mostly due to TiC and TE being my starting goals. Those gobble it up and ask for more.

Excited, Energetic, Ecstatic Bees aren't that far into bee breeding. The hardest part is finding a Valiant. After that, it's pretty easy:

Any 2 different worldgen bees (ex. Forest and Meadows) ==> Common
Any worldgen bee (ex. Forest) + Common ==> Cultivated
Cultivated + Valiant ==> Excited

From there, you can get higher production redstone by:

Excited + Valiant ==> Energetic
Energetic + Excited ==> Ecstatic

Don't even bother with bees; any level of fortune will give you stack after stack of redstone.

TE3 is *very* Redstone-hungry. Even with Fortune, I had chronic Redstone shortages (relative to other resources like Iron, Gold, Diamond, etc.,.). Granted, this was in MagicFarm2 with @Jadedcat 's CoFH custom ore gen, which may indeed have lower Redstone concentrations.

I believe AE needs a toggle for voiding stuff. Cobble will go to the cell formatted to it and if its full and the cell is marked as voiding, it will just delete it.

Kinda like the new thaumcraft jars that void extra essence, or the jabba barrels with the void upgrade.

Would make life much simpler hehe

This is incredibly easy to do. Make a trash can. Point an export bus at the trash can. Point a level emitter at the export bus, and set it to turn on once you get above however much you want of a particular resource. Then set the export bus to put that item in the trash can as long as it gets a redstone signal. Done.

While DSUs are great, I cant legitmize using them as freely. I have TE recipes enabled instead of vanilla. Balances my modpack better IMO though.
What FTB pack doesn't have the TE recipes enabled? I didn't know there was even another way to make them.

I already dump them with a fuzzy export bus into a trash can (actually that trashcan got a fuzzy export bus on each side since there's so much useless stuff especially when you have Mekanism, a lot of useless armors that you can't uncraft or smelt to get the ressources back), the downside of it is if I knew a way to automatically repair the bows and keep them in a DSU, it would be much more easier, but so far the ME system doesn't want to repair them when I use the crafting terminal and since they have different damage value you can't automate the repairing without having a dozen of stations to repair them...

Just thought I'd reply to this, Disable MekanismTools if you dislike things like glowstone armor. I did and it really helped my clutter situation. Don't know what else is in that mod but it is an option.

On topic: I usually go the 16k route since I don't usually care about conserving resources so much as conserving space. Having a wall of barrels is really difficult to squeeze into my basement along with all the other machines I usually cram in there.

At least ulti didn't. And it didn't really matter before TE3 changed the tesseract frame to require twice the number of pearls anyway.

If you want to overflow-void multiple things preformatted cells + storage bus on trashcan with priorities is easier.
Also advanced filing cabinets make a nice storage for those pesky unstackable items that use up item types. Something I learned from RWTema himself on Slowpoke's stream =)
Unfortunately a bit expensive =)

Indeed, export but+level emitter might seem like a decent idea when you only need to void cobble, but last world I ended up having over 100 different items that I was destroying. The ME storage bus+Priority is the only way to go.
Also, you will want to have your storage bus placed on a large chest which then exports to the trashcan. This is to avoid your priority system getting messed up if you go and dump in several stacks of cobble for example into the system(it might "overburden" the trashcans system momentarily and the rest of the cobble would go to a lower priority all round storage where it would stay).

Somewhere over the rainbow.
A lot of 16k is actually better than 64k as, no motter what, each drive can only hold 63 item types.

Exactly, to me the best balanced one is probably a couple of drives of 4k and some with 16k in them, the main problem is still the unstackable items, but for now I just delete them since it would be too much trouble to set an auto-repair system that truly works...

Diamond Chests + Jabba + DSU does all the job for me, no ME Drives needed, only use AE to craft!

The main problem that will stay with the ME system is the ultra stupid limit of 63 item types on each cell, no matter how much you make, they will never ever accept more than 63 type of thing, makes it a pain to run any kind of mob spawner cause you'll get so many armors/swords/bows that it will fill up your ME drives quicker than ever because theses items don't stack so they take 1 type each, no matter how big your cell is, the maximum it can hold is 63 different items...
Advanced filling cabinets hold all unstackable items

You don't even need to use AE if you know how to use sfm...

One issue I'm running into with this are tools that are both used for auto-crafting and can themselves be auto-crafted. Prime example would be the quartz knife for cutting the AE processors. Maybe it's an issue related to the lag I suffer, but the system seems to needlessly create tools when they are stored inside an advanced filing cabinet (ie crafting a new one while a somewhat used one is still available stored in the cabinet).

split up your networks and a lot of these problems will be solved.

I use suppliers.
my void loop is never overwhelmed, because it is it's own ME subnetwork.
don't build an octopus, build a machine. keep it simple, then link them, but not directly.

"one system to rule them all" is like living in the stone age. subnetworking is the future, and should be a requirement on large smp servers.
