I can't find this on the mod list (in the launcher) or in the mods folder - but it's in game and I don't want it. I tried downloading myself to see the file name (in case it was changed to something else) and that didn't help.

Any ideas? I'm obviously missing something, but having spent 20 minutes on my own to try to figure it out, I'm getting frustrated. All I want is to disable it.

you can keep it installed if it's the minimap that's bothering you.
you can hide the minimap by cycling through "n"
then you can just use the minimap you want...

though I do like some of opis's functions, I rather like to use journeymap instead
