Man, trying to watch a Lets Play series on YouTube for this modpack, but they're all using what I think is an older version of the map. For one, there isn't a single "snow" dungeon anywhere near home base, and the starting base looks WAY different in the current version. @_@

lol feel the same way. was so confused when i got the pack cuz all them youtubers are in a earlier version with different dungeons and bases. plus i couldnt get a bed until the quest gave one to me!
Yeah... that is why I started up a second season, so that my current episodes would be up to date...
You can watch my episodes and post if you have any comments? You mentioned looking for snow dungeons, I imagine the reason for this was to get the bed, the only way to get a bed not through dungeoneering is by collecting string to make wool. My how to make a smeltery episode is still current though.
U know there exists such thing as a powersurgeproof powerplug? its cheaper then a new motherboard... Also you can disconnect your pc when its off, your capacitors in power supply can hold powersurges when its on, but not when its off...
It has only fried two motherboards in like ten years and I am lazy. Also I use cheap power surge protector stuffs.
If you want to make dirt, put organic material (saplings, apples, sugarcane, etc) in a wooden barrel. Molten dirt isnt used and fluid registry isnt a machine, its a registry for all fluids in the game, like ore dictionary, to make duplicates ores possible for the same recipe...
Do you live in America or what? Power surges are normal there and companies like GIGABYTE make a LOT of money of their products being "surgeproof"

Yup there are lots of variants for it, even a freakin lamp has sometimes a power surge protection!
Being lazy means being dead, JUST DO IT (Nike TM) MAN!!! Aaand don't use cheap protections, they're useless... cheap protection is between minimal and no protection.
Well you could always start an old version ... generate the map and save it ... and then jump to the new version and start the map there. That way you can have the current version and the old map.
I thought about switching, but I simply like the old map too much to just abandon it ... the old bunker simply looks better, and better fits to the theme with the other abandoned bunkers around.
so I can run Resonant rise 3 with 200+ mods bit this pack I get 0 FPS and it just stops. any ideas why ?
Weird, give me your computer specs and how much RAM do you have set to have reserved in FTB Launcher.
I had exactly the same problem. Only with this pack and it even got to the point, where it was so bad that I stopped playing the pack all together. But then switched to MultiMC as launcher (it automatically imports all FTB instances) and play in Offline mode, never had any issues since.
Drones can be programmed to go out and mine- very useful to use the gps to set a meteor crash site, give them a diamond hammer and let them go out and smash up meteors for you while you take care of other things.
