*Another day went by, the young boy managed to kill some rats and thus will not starve to death at least not tonight.
He is trapped in these sewers since the first day he can remember, and for what? No one knows but then again no one seems to know about his existence. They speak of ghosts when he makes a sound, it is kind of ironic how someone without a name, a family or people who know that he exist can bring fear to a whole city.
The city of course has send people to see what is going on but this young boy doesn't trust them, after all he spend his entire life living with rats, never saw other beings and when he did they didn't look friendly to say the least.
But who knows, maybe hope is nearby for him or is it death that will get him first*

For who should it be backstory?
*The city is in a dessert, it survived the wars and it is richer then ever.
Most soldiers now have a family, however some believe that their wifes are girls captured during the war by them. The soldiers of course claim this as false and their children don't seem to be related to their old enemy, except for one.
He looks exactly the same as the rest however he doesn't seem to be able to use magic, unlike the rest. Of course it may be totally unrelated as he is not the only one and more like him have been born in the past and more like him will probably be born in the future but this didn't stop the creating of stories around them. Some claim they saw this child use the same magic as their old enemy used other say he mixed the two. However as their is peace now many don't care about it, and most stories have faded away. *

It is interesting how this worlds and the living beings that live on this world have developed. There are now three dominant species, they started as one but they have chosen different places to live and their magic changed to fit this new place.
Some have chosen the oceans, they have become almost completely invisible under water and use trickery to get what they want. They might have changed to live underwater and can not use their magic without it but do not underestimate them without it.
Those who have chosen the mountains have become one with them, killing them is basically the same as having to move a mountain. Their magic comes straight from the rocks in the ground and use it to defend themselves like no being can.
Those that live in the dessert gain their magic from heat sources like the sun. They have always been the most destructive of the three, as their magic doesn't heal, create or shape. They however learned to use the heat of their magic to create glass and to reshape metal. If you need tools or weapons they are the ones you need to talk to.
The richer the city becomes the more people try to find a better life there. A new group arrived, some come from the mountains, while others came from the oceans.
When they heard the boy they where unlike most newcomers not scared, instead they wanted to know what caused it. They managed to get permission to search for the "ghost". Will they succeed? Will they find the boy? Or will the boy find them first and show what rat bones can do to strangers, or maybe another fate will reveal itself?

Why do you think that either of them is older? because I placed Tzet before Sintoras?
*The sewers are made of stone and metal, the "paths" are slippery at best and the smell can not be describer but it doesn't seem to stop our hero's and they slowly move on.
They quickly discover how big the sewers are and that getting lost in them is easier then dying in the desert without water. They find some dead rats or rather what is left from them as they seem to have been eaten.
They thought they saw something move, a rat perhaps? Or does the boy already know about them? Whatever the case may be our hero's move on and don't think much of it.
