Details of the issue:

I am not very tech smart and am having problems in launching the sky factory 2.5 modpack​

First of all, update your java. Go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and choose Windows _Offline_ x64 (<- very important to take the x64 one)

After that, on the launcher, go to "options" tab, click "Force update" (just once) and then launch the pack again.
