Jerky Minecraft and"technic-launcher-latest.jar"

Hi
I'm new to this forum and I am running an iMac with 4GB memory and 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3
I like to play Minecraft and especially Technic Launcher playing Yogbox.
Even vanilla Minecraft runs jerky so I was wondering what I could do with the resources in the "technic-launcher-latest.jar" file to allocate more resources, and stop the jerky effect.
Any help would be appreciated

I am sorry to say but this forum is about Feed the Beast modpack, not Technic related modpacks.
