Lots of wood.

Basically I automated a sugar farm and a tree farm to make Ethanol crystals as part of my jet fuel production plant.

I couldn't be arsed being clever and load-balancing sugar cane/sugar for both stages so i'm basically farming trees just for the saplings. The side effect is that I have a ton of oak that I don't need. If I didn't have Rotarycraft, I'd burn it for fuel but as it is, I have no idea what to do with it. I can't just void the stuff, *hoarding intensifies*.

What can one do to consume massive amounts of wood?

Get all the wood. Automate the switching out of saplings in the machine to get all the different tree based products. Even leaves.

Build a few cities? Or at least large towns. Seems the amount of wood used in a Town goes down as the size of the town goes up. Cities would likely be lots of stone.

Automate the building of towns? Automate the building of the automation to build the towns. Then start it at the corners of the base and watch the town spread out from there. (hopefully it doesn't turn in upon itself and eat your base). It goes over each chunk. Mines it out. Uses those resources to build the automation to add that chunk to the chunks of town. Sounds like the game of "Life" town builder style.

use ProjectE, Equivalent Exchange, Full Throttle Alchemist(the new Dartcraft) or one of the other mods that can change wood into other items.
I think FTA can turn wood into saplings

What you need to do it make a wood factory. Make it a large area. The input area will show the wood being dispensed, and show it flowing from place to place within the factory. An area where you make useful "wood particles" with wood and TnT. An area where you douse the wood in several types of liquids. An area testings the effects of a fall to bedrock on wood. An area where you put wood into a barrel... and then another barrel. Just throw science at the wall.

I'm pretty sure you can run it through the grinder to get wood pulp or somesuch, which you can use to make more ethanol. Possibly also can be composted so you can make dirt to feed your yeast production.

Or you could use it to make Syngas, pour that Syngas out into the world, throw in a match and see what happens (hint...it makes a big boom, or so I've read.)

Exactly what Vaeliorin said. Put the wood through Grinder (you get like 8 or 16 or something dust per log) and you'll never have to use saplings again for ethanol crystals

Hmmm, recycling it into more relevant fuel sounds good.

However, you mentioned...BOOM?
