Is there a way to passively get a lot of dirt, without digging for it?

I'm talking only dirt. I am trying to avoid using a quarry, as I don't really need the ores and crap beneath it, and I also don't wanna tear up the landscape.

I got a sludge boiler going, but not sure I am going to get the amount I need.

Thoughts?

sludge boilers work great for dirt, just make sure you've a large treefarm with a couple of harvesters going
you'll probably want to setup several sludge boilers to be able to keep up with the sludge that'll be produced

either earth essence from magical crops, macerating plantballs (ic2), or ex nihilo mods

Hm.

Seems to me, then, the issue is a bee needs to be made for this.
Or, maybe I must remake my explaination; if you can't do it with bees, try fish!

If you have mfr and ic2, harvester trees and use sludge boiler and autocraft saplings into plantballs, then macerate plant balls. For power burn wood into charcoal.

Not an efficient dirt producer, but hasn't been mentioned yet : peat farms. They will slowly convert sand to dirt, and produce peat to burn as a bonus.

IC2 UU-matter. Old IC2 had a recipe for it, IC2E you can scan the dirt and have the replicator spit it out. It is incredibly cheap in IC2E: 30 mB UU, 128 eu.

If you have the power/scrap for it, it will just spit out stack after stack of it at that price...

try a mystcraft world that replaces stone with dirt. I get those accidentally every time I try to make a random mining age, without fail.
