Hmm... everytime I try to open the world it says my item ID's are off, I get an error, and it wont let me open the world... Im almost positive that the custom pack I play has all the mods ftb has...Guess Ill try launching it off the ftb launcher

Maybe it's because I'm using Direwolf20 pack version 5.2.0? (click on the 'recommended' button in the top right of the launcher to get it)

Applied Energistics is crazy good for airships :p

I have the mining platform down to 2 tall and was able to eliminate using RP2 managers (pain to make). Makes the item routing and management super easy. And it all survived frame moving.

A platform
Meaty bits:

AE bits:
Import Cable on ends set to pull from chest and turtle.
Export Cable on top of miner and pump, filtered input for mining pipe and empty cells.

Export cable on top of turtle is redstone controlled, so the turtle activates the cable when it needs to -- this allows the turtle to track when mining has stopped. In my program, when it is pretty sure mining has stopped it will stop emiting redstone to the cable and to the redstone frame. In a multi-platform rig when all turtles stop emitting redstone it triggers turning off the wireless redstone signal and pulling out all drills to prepare for a move.

9 platforms :p
overall rig, think it is 23x25, but probably square it off at 25x25.

AE cables routed around/through frame to central controller and storage.

Mining status redstone routed in tubes around rig to control area. -- Redstone lamps are just a backup indicator for testing.

Turtle drill swap script (WIP):

Save (Ultimate pack):

AE controller says it uses 50-60 units.
Each miner can use 16-40 EU. Usage tends to be around 200-250 EU/t.

Would you mind telling more about how to use that amazing contraption. i have loaded it up and so far have figured out how to move it and the other lever just hooks up to a timer that seem to do nothing. Really grate machine!

Its a work in progress. The lever by the timer is like an override, stops the cycle from advancing.

The lever by the motors will move the ship. If you change the timer to 3~4 seconds and connect it to the motor it will move the ship 27 blocks, so all miners will be over fresh ground.

With the override off and timer hooked up to the motor it should mine ... Pull pipe up .... Move .... And mine in a endless loop.

Still needs motors for all directions, selector to pick direction of a auto move and force fields to clear direction of movement....

Updated world save. Should be fully automated. Hit the green/red buttons on the monitor to change the direction it will move after mining.

No base to relay items to, so just put in a bunch of AE storage.
