They are? Fair enough. I'm using DW20.
Ah, there's your problem. I hope you aren't too deep into your world, or you aren't playing on a server so you can add them manually.
I'm really not sure why you think they're useless - they're a lot faster than a non-overclocked normal machine, and a lot cheaper - both in terms of materials and energy - than an overclocked one.
Indeed, they are more efficiency, but by the time I start being able to really build a lot of machines for automatic processing, energy production is no longer an issue. At that point, I'll usually get a fully overclocked electro furnace or two for manual usage, and then an array of them for automated usage.
Industrial grinders are much more useful for automated usage, because of the additional resources obtained from them, so macerators are really left out of this.
Besides manual usage, and automated usage, there isn't anything else left to deal with as such.
May I point out something? The Induction Furnace is in "vanilla" IC2, the Singularity Compressor and Rotary Macerator are added by Adv. Machines.
Ah, right, yes. It's an "advanced" machine that is not a part of that modpack. Good call!
Just checked the wiki - they're not in Ultimate.
Verifying now.
To confirm, via the FTB launcher, I'm seeing FTB Ultimate V1.0.1 has advancedmachines. The wiki, as is often the case, is wrong it seems.
