Anyway how this mod got from solar towers to some random tools armor stuff that makes you creative ?

i am not mad at you at all really .
just this obsidian and cheaty stuff is nonsense really .
also in real life obsidian is very weak ( but fancy looking ) stone . and it can't break anything

Yea, back when I first played the game in b1.7.3, when my friend said Obsidian was nearly unbreakable, I went, "whaaaaaaaaaaaat?"

Well obsidian is basically a form of volacanic glass.
That being said much like glass its akneeling tempure and time effects how dense or strong it is. There is super hard obsidian out there. It is just not common on the surface where obsidian cools quickly. Obsidian that is cooled slowly like that found in laval chambers has the time to get vary strong indeed. But if you have actually played around with real life obsidian you will find even the surface stuff is actually fairly strong but it is britel. There is a reason it was used by some cultures to make fucation war weapons.
That all being said it is still sort of silly how long it takes to mine and that it requires diamond.

As someone that does not use any of the advanced armors becuase I think they are OP and make the game to easy... Yeah I got nothing really to say about UUM gear. Added to the fact I disliek UU mater over all.
And about Obsidian tools and armor? Well its been done already http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/emerald-and-obsidian-tools-mod/ But I always say having options empowers the users.
two reasons why i'm doing them
one for practice xD something simple
and two because Obsidian, and emeralds are basically pointless in the game

I'd be interested in helping on this mod only if it is focusing on solar power as a coder.
No interest if the mod also contains armors or anything other than solar related power, a separate mod could be created for that if you wanted to do pursue that on your own. I think the solar portions would add quite a bit.

it is quite sharp thought but it breaks easily , i think i even got sliced by obsidian
Not so easy actual. Good obsidian requires a good naping skill. Its on par with many stones for hardness. It but does have stress points which make it britle. Unless you find some of that sweet deep stuff that has taken years to cool down.
Obdisian many times has a sort of Prince Rupert's Drop sort of stress point where it is down right hard a steel unless you hit it just right.
It sounds good but if you release it id be afraid that greg would nerf it
All jokes aside, i encourage you to make a simple mod first but if you want to get these solars done then make sure you don't spend too much time in your practices. For example if you know how to make UUM armour then you will know how to make obsidian armour. Just try and make the UUM armour if you want to practice is what i'm saying.
and also to everyone who wants the solar towers to be 100% realistic with chambers and all these components like photovoltaic cells you are talking about, you haven't played minecraft. Do you think its that easy in real life to make an electronic circuit? The suggested three tier system is realistic enough for minecraft and provides a nice challenge.

I would love an over all Green Tech mod. Solar, Wind, and Water type power systems that are mulitblock and cool. It would be awesome to make a real geothermail well or a wave motion system. If you want to get sci-fi maybe even a gravity power system that has to be build at map hight limit or in the end.

As you suggested I may just make a seperate mod for UU Matter armor for practice and then you and I can get to the big guns
And as I said earlier if this goes well and you like working with me maybe we could do a future wind/water/lunar?
