The hammer and the mining well are relly good ideas. Guess I'll have an easier time now altough the other big problem with meteors is when it's underground and I have to dig through the whole chunk to find it.

First thing, is to check the corners of the chunk. If it turns up to be across borders, that'll make it easier. Though if you use the well and go every five or so blocks, you're in pretty good shape to find it quickly.

The centre is always at the corner of 4 chunks, use F9 to find the boundaries. Go to the corner where they intersect, dig straight down(forget Rule #1) till you hit skystone, get hammer dig down until chest and presses pop into your inventory. Move to next meteor

PS: I accept no responsibility for deaths by lava and falling.

Rule #1 is always carry a second pickaxe. Rule #2 is no, it's not enough torches. Rule #3 is don't dig straight up or down.

There's no "middle", it's an even numbered sphere... Hammer on one of the 4 middle blocks, dig down until a chest pops up in ur inventory.

The only meteors I have ever seen on the surface that do not have an odd diameter are those that have taken some kind of additional damage, such as in a multiple strike area. I go to the top of the meteor, locate the exact center and dig down to the chest... I hit it every time.

I don't try to find underground meteors so they may a different animal.

in case of underground meteors it's a bit tricky to find the middle, you have to clean a bit of space on top of the meteor

Is it really? That's gonna make it a lot easier, although I was lucky because I already found 3 before even having a pick that can mine into them. My biggest problem currently is that there's no rubber anywhere, so I can't really start with most TE or IC

I cant walk five feet without bumping into a rubber tree. Maybe you are looking for the IC2 trees. The MFR ones look different.

I know how both trees look. I definitely didn't see any IC2 ones, I didn't notice MFR ones either.

What biome are you in?

In a normal forest or a swamp MFR rubber trees are EVERYWHERE. But you won't find any in magical forests or jungles the snowy forest type.

I was in all the different types of Biomes o' PLenty biomes and going north or south didn't get me anything either, but I finally found both types of rubber trees to the east. Now I'm trying to figure out which type would be more efficient or easier to farm/automate.

Ah. Hmm... I believe you can also use Slimeballs. You should be able to smelt Tinker's Glueballs, which come from sawmilling rubber wood, or smelting horses in the smeltery, into raw rubber.

MFR are easier to automate, unless you have a forestry farm. Forestry farms produce a massive glut of rubber.

For now I'm finally good with rubber I got enough saplings to make a 3X3 and I have more than a stack of rubber, so I'll be okay until I automate everything :D

... Lol. After you get the grout, work on computerizing your autospawner system so that you can select between Emeralds, Glue, and Blood without having to manually switch out the safari net. ;)

I used enderIO so I just press a button on a wall to swap. Lovely that you can spawn on facades. :D

I haven't even seen any horses (also my smeltery is a bit tall (just about 6 blocks) so getting them into it would nee a safari net or something)
