would be nice, but if you mess up with transformers you'll vaporize and your apartment will be obliterated. If only it was like IC2. Just stick in an overclocker, give it more juice and bam, it's that much faster.

it's not that I really need more then 60FPS, I was just wondering how people are able to reach such high FPS and what they've done to reach such a high FPS
I always play at 40FPS myself, but I was kind of bummed I only reached about 200FPS max on my new system
Is that on a "rigged" world? Most of the really high FPS I've seen people report probably come from Flat Minecraft worlds in Creative or Peaceful. Or maybe they spent multiple thousands buying/putting together their computer?
also remember it's poorly coded (thanks notch) and has no multi core support without optifine (which as far as I know only gives multi-core support for chunk loading anyway so)

so it seems I've had this kind of computer all along, but I just didn't do the right tests...
well, this... outcome... seems to be the goal or the topic of most(if not all) FPS related threads.ok, I'll be right back, I need to go change my pants...
He is not on fast , look that grass blocks near hand. And also mipmap and aa is on , dunno what level tho.hmm, k, lemme try that out...

that's on a flat overworld world, in 1.7.4 with fast graphics, 2 chunk render distance, smooth lighting off, max framerate, particles minimal and vsync off

1.6 optimized a whole load of code.also remember it's poorly coded (thanks notch) and has no multi core support without optifine (which as far as I know only gives multi-core support for chunk loading anyway so)
Don't say it's poorly coded; it's not anymore. Was back in beta, but since Notch stopped working on MC to work on other projects, it's gotten a lot better.
Keep in mind that Minecraft was never destined to become one tenth as popular as it is, it was mostly Notch's way of practicing Java until the internet found it.
Not true. I have a gaming laptop and it does, indeed, do serious gaming. No, it doesn't have the power of the top-of-of-the-line desktop, but it has enough to run anything you throw at it at max setting or nearly max settings. It certainly runs Minecraft very well.
