I feel your pain on this one. I've been wanting to change my forum name to match my gamer tag. No luck so far.
To be honest I would PM one of the mods.
I don't think there would be an issue with account abandoment. But at least if you hit up a mod they might be able to at least lock/ban the old account so noone uses it.
PM @Captainnana and ask him if you could get your name changed?
I know of a few cases where names have needed changing, but I don't remember the circumstances. I think he was the one to change the names
Up at the top where it says INBOX click that. Click start converation. Put in his name and find him.
Also if you see a post from them clicking on the pic on the left here brings up a small window with Start Converstion on it there too that starts one with who ever you clicked on.
the guy has 6 messages.. 5 of those from this thread, so that's nothing really to worry about at all.
Maybe not him. But what about others who have the same wish to change their username? I'm just thinking of giving an answer where its not only the one person who can use it.
