Title says it all. Test it out. I was running Optifine before, but after I installed Soartex, my FPS soared to beautiful levels.
1. The swearing...
2. What type are you using; 32x, 64x, 128x etc.
3. What do you expect, it's texture/resource pack, don't use it if you don't like it.
Sorry, I was distracted from reading by the data the title contained; it isn't the nicest of language.I think you misunderstood his post...he's saying it made his FPS better...
and what swearing? lol

And may I ask what the point of this thread is, I can understand you'd like to share your findings, but, seems a little vague...
Well, I still have Optifine installed. It is required for some of the connected textures in Soartex. I still don't know what is glass and what is hole though...........
But for some reason my FPS jumped to levels that I consider to be optimal. Perhaps Soartex has some optimization in terms of texture loading, that allow for Optifine to perform better?
Could be that it replaces a faulty texture somewhere in a mod? Ive always thought texture packs affect the initial load times, not so much FPS.
I'm sorry but whenever I see your avatar, I just think "What up Gandalf?".It's quite possible Soartex takes an animated texture and makes it still, that in itself would increase FPS.
I didn't believe it so I tested it myself. Using a modified Monster pack, I had around 100 FPS standing still, 80 moving, no texture pack. Installed Soartex, 130 FPS standing still, about 100 moving. All of this without Optifine ever being installed.
