I have a magma crucible on top of a magmatic engine and some thermal expansion machines beside it. In the picture below when i try to place a conductive pipe to connect the machines on the right to the wooden conductive pipe the newly placed pipe explodes after a couple of minutes, and the magma crucible stops receiving energy as soon as it is placed. I am most likely missing something incredibly obvious, but any assistance in finding out what that is would be appreciated.

Conductive pipes explode when they get too much energy, try it with golden conductive pipes, or redstone energy condits from TE.

placing a second pipe on top of the first and switching to golden pipes solved the issue

The best option remains the TE conduits. They have less energy loss (granted, with how little distance there is, it's not a big deal, but still a good thing to note) than even golden pipes and (from what I have seen so far), don't blow up like normal conductive pipes occasionally do.

I plan to make conduits in the future, but i am only 4 or 5 mine craft days into this world so that will be a little into the future. the problem is persisting after all, energy is not going into the crucible, and is instead building up in the pipes, any idea why?

Your magmatic engine will never overheat and jam up using energy conduit but it will with BC conductive pipes.

The engine is producing more energy than the crucible is using. The excess energy has nowhere to go, so it builds up in the pipes. Your only options are to add something else that will use up the spare energy (a pump pumping water from an infinite source into a void pipe maybe?), or turn the engine off periodically.

The problem is the energy storage in the crucible is less then a quarter full, and is only going up by about 0.1 mj/t while the engine is outputing 4 mj/t

turning the crucible off did nothing(as it wasn't running due to lack of power). The problem seems to arise from the wooden pipe having more then one direction for the energy to travel, so far a solution is to make the pipes connect to the one connecting to the crucible, but then i cant power the machine beside the engine. I will just redesign my processing room to account for this
