Guys HELP what mod/plugin is used in direwolf20 pack in server to allow ppl to change their names?

if you are already using MCPC+ (assuming you are since you said plugins), Essentials adds the /nick command

I know of no mod that allows you to change your name on the fly... It's possible that Morph labels you as another player when you kill that player, but Wailla(sp?) displays the true name of such a masquerader when you put your cursor on them.

True character renaming is only starting to be implemented in Vanilla MC... The changes in 1.8's inventory management system and other systems where character ID is important are just the first step. Mojang says we'll be able to change names "Sometime after the public release of 1.8".

Note: Mojang has already worked out a system where server black/whitelisting will still work. To paraphrase a recent tweet from one of the Mojang crew: "You cannot be convicted of a crime and sent to prison only to be released because you changed your name."

1 cool thing about that way of changing nickname is that if u hover on the person it shows the changed name not original like morth. So im still confused with mod ( or plugin idk) is used, so just MCPC+ plugin and thats it right?

Don't mis-understand what /nick does, it does not change a users original logged in name, it masks it with a "nickname". If you banned someone's original logged in player name then it doesn't matter what their /nickname is they will be banned. So that /nick is only changed on that particular server, if you logged into another smp server you'd be back to your original player name.

It would help us to help you if you pointed out where you saw this (if it was in a video).

MCPC+ is not a plugin, it is a server jar that combines Forge and Bukkit, allowing you to use both mods and plugins. Essentials is a bukkut plugin that adds the /nick command (along with about a billion others)
