Guild Wars 2

Anyone else looking forward to Guildwars 2?
I think the game has a really nice potential, though I'm a bit sceptical that the end game might not be as good as the early levels.
Also the game seems to be really heavy on the CPU since its not really using the GPU for anything. So some of my friends have been lagging alot under the beta events.
So hopefully they've fixed that since it didn't at the first/second beta event.

The release is in a week (August 28), though if you pre-order it you get a 3 days headstart (August 25).

So what are your thoughts?
What are you going to roll as?
And what are you going to play most, PvP or PvE?
etc. etc.

Haha I guess you're right. There's a TON of particles on the screen and you just don't know whats going on ;P

not sure, seems a bit different from other mmo's but i dont think it is worth to spend 50,- on it.

I keep making the mistake of getting excited about and then paying for these types of games (TERA, TSW) and then hating them when I finally get to play. I wish there was some sort of non-beta trial type process that was mandatory for MMO's, lol. Eventually most do have some sort of trial but the expectations seem so high when they're first released that I end up getting dragged in before I should =P. I think I'm going to wait to see how this game shakes out before I invest in another potential dud.

Well if you've got 4 friends who's going to play it then you're up for some fun no matter how bad it is Though i can see your concern if you're alone.

Well if you've got 4 friends who's going to play it then you're up for some fun no matter how bad it is Though i can see your concern if you're alone.

aint fun if you just talk from time to time, and people will lvl way faster than others and you end up doing nothing together.

Me and my friends have a "singleplayer" char and a "Multiplayer" char. ;P Maybe we won't always be the same level because of random happenings. but we'll be completing every quest together, Even our own story.

Yeah i saw that. I'm going to play GW2 now though
