71 so... the diamond machine is now fully functionally. And, as I remember that people wanted screenshots. Here they come
The tree farm, the carrot farm and the machine.
The carrot farm is pretty much only for fruit juice and mulch, both of which are used to generate ethanol which I use to generate my power.
The tree farm is obviously needed to create charcoal. But as I use ethanol the saplings have an use as well. I also use the apples to generate fruit juice, but the carrots are probably more than capable on their own to handle that.

Then now some pictures of the setup.
Despite the fact that it looks like it can't keep up, I'm actually over producing. Its just that the main pipe from the farms got stuck while I was away due to a missing connection to a trash can. I by luck got online before the dynamo's ran out and ethanol production is back online.

Not much to say about this one as well. 5 compression dynamo's. 4 of them have the hardened upgrade kit and one the reinforced upgrade kit. The one that is reinforced also has t2 augmentations to produce extra power. As such, this one produces 240 RF/T while the others produce 60. Giving me a nice total of 480 RF/T

The glory of weird mod interactions and the main reason I build this whole setup. This machine turns wood into diamonds.
It uses IC2's mechanic to create diamonds from coal, integrated dynamics squeezer to turn charcoal into coal dust and thermal expansion's compacters to actually do the compression.
A fun fact is that IC2's method normally requires flint, however a compacter can turn 8 coal dust into the same item for some reason.
For those that are unfamilair with IC2's method of creating diamonds. Here is what happens, from left to right.
Smelt wood for charcoal. (powered furnace)
charcoal to coal dust (mechanical squeezer)
8 coal dust to 1 coal ball (compacter. Normally a crafting recipe with flint)
coal ball to compressed coal ball (compacter)
8 compressed coal ball + 1 obsidian to 1 coal chunk (analog crafter)
coal chunk to diamond (compactor)
The left chest is a wood storage and the right one is where the diamonds go.

I only found 4 diamonds by mining and I have no auto mining set up of any kind. The carrot farm also uses the diamond tier size upgrade, which means 12 diamonds are there, I traded 18 away and I made a diamond hoe just to get that advancement about using one up. The squeezer also costs 1 diamond. And, I'm sure I have gained a few more while writing this post. I can also increase the speed at which it makes diamonds, I just need to upgrade my power production first.

I'd say that is is a success.

72 Now, to see if I can get it to happen consistently, as otherwise it will never happen when they are watching.

78 Nice. Did you go ahead with the build thread you were talking about? I think that was you...

79. I was considering a play thread of InfiTech 2, and separately to that I was going to put pics of my base on APcW when i’ve finished that - it’s the latter I’m referring to here :)

79 its hard to help when all you say is "Stuff not working"
78. The problem with that is that in a thread like this where it's not devoted to a particular topic, I wanted to first see if anyone was interested in helping me, plus I'm fairly certain I can figure it out om my own. I think it has to do with my timing somewhere.

79. I know you CAN get a fair bit of RF out of them but honestly Endergenics have always felt like more effort than they’re worth

80 To me they seem like they could be fun, but it's the sort of thing that would take a fair bit of effort, and I'd probably want to debug issues myself rather than ask for help.
