What is good FPS for you?

For me 15 FPS is good
20 FPS is great
Anything better is hard to get.

So, how fast is your computer.

Vanilla I typically get 100+. Optifine can skyrocket this. In FTB I always enable V-Sync so I don't go above 60.

Good FPS for me is normally about 60-80 with FTB and 1.5 gigs of RAM allocated.

below 10 = unplayable
20 = alright
30 = good
60 = awesome
60+ = as Vasa said, much Vanilla (usually between 70 and 120 in Vanilla MP)

Though, for some reason in SP Magic World 2 I get about 60fps, and in MP I get about 20-30, it's very strange...

Graphics = fast
Render distance = tiny or short
Advanced OpenGL = On
VSync = off (unless in 1.7)
Music = off
Sound = 10-20
Performance = Max FPS
Snooper = Off
Smooth Lighting: Minimum
View bobbing: On unless recording

FTB:
0-19 Horrible
20 Bad
30 Alright
70-150 Good (What I usually get)
150-300 Very Good
300+ Excellent

In Vanilla I get anywhere from 150 to 450.

I play at 40FPS, always... if I'm below 40FPS something's wrong, if I'm above 40FPS, I forgot to set the limit to 40FPS

Single player, FTB I usually see 60-120FPS
On Vanilla I've seen over 200FPS but these numbers don't really mean a lot when the monitor's refresh rate is 75Hz maximum. just smoother performance.

Anything below 20/25 is a No-go. Now with a new PC I get about 60 fps running RR, about 90 in Horizons and 120 in Vanilla.

Wow, you all are used to low FPS. Anything below 100 seems choppy and below 60 I remodel my entire base or start a new world. I prefer to lock my V-Sync to 120 FPS, but my computer just can't handle that yet.

30 is playable just fine. 60 is considered the point where the human eye stops noticing the flash between frames. In general, monitors are 60 hz, or 75hz. That means no matter how many frames your GPU is processing, your monitor will never display more than 60 FPS or 75FPS respectively. All these people talking about playing at 100 FPS are doing nothing more than putting unnecessary wear and tear and heat into your GPU.
