Windows .exe FTB Unleashed|Major lag spikes

I usually get around 25 fps (I know that is low but I don't care) with no lag spikes at all, but if enter the nether, teleport to a waypoint, or save and quit to title and go back into my world, I start getting MAJOR lag spikes! I'm talking about little sissy lag spikes like dropping to 10 fps for a couple seconds, but i'm talking about dropping to 0 fps for 10 seconds every 30 seconds. The only temporary fix I found is quitting the game and logging back in, which is extremely annoying if I just need to make a short trip to the nether.

I use optifine and have multiple chunk loaders in the nether if that is important.
