A new error. I'll copy paste the console to for this one.

But apparently I can not connect to Minecraft.net (and their systems are running fine) I'm using java 7 (update 17)

these are the errors I get upon starting the launcher after it updates the mod list. I need serious help...

You can't connect to the FTB servers not the minecraft servers.
How is this in any way constructive? Also, you do need to connect to the Minecraft servers at some point, you need to log in.

On topic, have you tried disabling your firewall (unsafe, I know, but you need to be sure it isn't causing it), updating Java and checking your network is working correctly?

I haven't disabled my firewalls yet. And Java has been updated twice already. It's the update 17. My Network should be working, as all other things connect without a hitch.

Java 1.7.0_17 is the latest version, so you're good there. If all else fails, try completely uninstalling and reinstalling.
The firewall could be blocking your connection to the FTB or Minecraft servers, whichever it's having a problem with (most likely the FTB ones).

Used a Batch file to launch in java 6. It logged in, but now another error comes up.

A Fatal FML error. it tells me to consult the log file. This is foreign language to me:

Update: removing Java 7 fully allows me to access the main game, but my Console lights up with millions of errors when I try to start a new world.

Why is this impossible for me to play?

Errors:

I had that same problem.what i did was back up my saves and config file and then deleted the folder that ftb was in,downloaded a new launcher, reinstalled the pack and that error was there no more.Remember to back up your saves and config file.if that doesn't work then try reinstalling java.Hope this works for you.

You don't need to back up the configs as long as you didn't change them. The less you back up, the more chance there is that the thing that was breaking was deleted.

none of that helped.

At the moment it now freezes when trying to make a new world, at "Convertign world" or "building terrain"

Try going to advanced options and selecting a different download server to use.

Update: I am able to play using a .bat file with the FTB_Launcher.exe

Now I am able to play single player games now, but now I can't connect to any multiplayer servers. Due to this error:

java.net.SocketException: Invalid argument : connect

Uninstalling Java 7 crashes Minecraft when trying to load new worlds, Java 7 allows me to play worlds.

I keep getting the Invalid Argument: Connect error no matter.

I deleted Java 6, Java 7 still gives the "invalid Argument: Connect: error.

Something is stopping you from connecting to the servers... (duh)

  1. Please, PLEASE post the logs. (instructions in my signature)
  2. What anti-virus are you using?
  3. What firewall?
  4. Have you messed with your host files? (If you don't know what I'm asking, then the answer is no)

1- See Below
2- Kapersky
3. It's not on (to my knowledge, windows says it's off)
4- I don't know what these are, so I guess no.

The Game doesn't crash, it runs fine until I try to Log in, then I'm stopped from logging in due to this Stupid Error.

I can't paste the logs due to this very error. All I can do is Copy-paste the log. Directly to here. The Last Invalid Argument Connect error in this log was my trying to post on paste bin, but it wouldn't. Just Drag and highlight the text in the window.
