Hi my name is Raven_2012 I am a Youtuber who is starting a series on a older DW20 pack. This is my first Minecraft LP, I have played DW20 and Tekkit for many years. My channel started out as Farming Simulator and now I am trying to branch out. Hope some of you guys and gals could join me in my DW20 LP and hope to see you there!

Not trying to be rude but I haven't watched a 1.6 video of any type in almost 2 years.

In fact, with the recent flurry of development activity for 1.8.9 mods I'm more interested in watching things like Direwolf20's Season 8 Forgecraft1 Server series (new mods being added/tested continually) and Rorax (@Rosespikes on twitter), who is trying out new 1.8.9 mods in single play.

If I find I have extra time to kill I may watch a 1.7.10 video or two but most are getting old now

Chisel and Bits is really the least inspiring mod i've seen get screen time in the forgecraft1 server play. All it does is murder your FPS, to produce some decorative items that mostly look out of place.

Actually it doesn't murder your FPS at all. From what I understand, due to the vanilla changes to rendering in 1.8, the rendering of the chiseled bits is automatically on a different thread and has no more of a performance impact than most other things.

Chisels and Bits is cool, but I fear it's best use will be overlooked; filling in the gaps. Let's say you build a great Hall with 2x2 columns. To jazz things up you wrap the bases in vertical slabs. C&B is used to square the corner where the slabs don't meet. Or using C&B for the whole wrap.

But this 1.8.9 derailment also emphasizes the lack of an audience OP would have for a 1.6.4 Let's Play.

But really I am just annoyed that @Algo han't picked up AE2 and ported that to 1.8.9. I need storage for bits before I need bits.

To be frank I think ChiselNBits is the most exciting mod Dires displayed so far. ATM the only other mod he's shown us is TC5 and the new tinkers. They are good mods but... yawn. Been there done that. Although this time Tinkers looks kind of nerfed, which is good but not really exciting. The combined crafting table UIs are good and the magnetic modifier looks neat.
Thaumcraft is not really that different, possibly more streamlined. Golems look like they will be more useful. Probably still derpy AF though. The hookshot wand foci feels like it's going to have it's function stolen by some other cheap mod.

ChiselNBits however has nothing but limitless potential for creative builds. Trusses, sconces, skirting boards, windowsills, guttering, not to mention actual custom furniture.
I wonder what the dev of decocraft is thinking right now? Probably nothing strong but the only ones who would use it are folks that despise things made of cubes that are unwieldy to place. That being said creating the things will be finniky at first.
