Don't knock it until you try it.
Hell you might even get FPS you expect running at low settings.

Edit: Sphax right?

Have you tried without a texture pack? I understand you don't want to but, have you tried?

Yes, i have in mind i mentioned it earlier to try it without texture pack...
But it didnt do any difference at all, i bared out playing those... 30minutes until the fps is avg 20.

I'm going back to my original theory: your graphics drivers are out of date, or it's not getting enough power.
I have a GTX 560 TI and get a steady 80+ fps unless I'm streaming.

And be sure all your other drivers are up to date from the appropriate vendors. (Ie. Motherboard and chipset.)

I always find it kinda amusing when this is the problem. I have bad specs and my drivers are dated to prehistoric era and I still run into no problems <3
