What is your favourite mod pack, why is it your favourite and does the future of that mod pack look great in terms of version updates?

I personally loved FTB Ultimate however the mod doesn't look like it's ever going to get an update. Hopefully we will see another mod similiar to this. What do you guys think is the closest mod pack to Ultimate that looks like it has a future in progression and advancement in terms of version updates.

I didn't have enough room to add any additional packs and I just ended up using FTB team mod packs seeing that they are public mods and accessible to everyone.

Ultimate IMO was the best pack FTB has had but is not really worth playing anymore. Unleashed is missing redpower (obviously), and has some OP mods in it that really should disabled by default.

It's far too early to vote for Monster. From what we've gotten so far, the mod list it will be running is greatly disappointing but i'm still hoping they make the right choices. There's quite a few mods that don't fit well, and a few must have mods it is missing. If I had to vote for a 1.6 pack, i'd vote for the DW20 pack after taking out hats/morph and adding EnderIO.

I like horizons, so much new stuff to kearn :D
Too bad my old server is on dw20 1.6 pack :c

At any rate it should still be interesting to see the future of FTB, and I'm looking forward to the new launcher features.

But yeah, FTB Horizon is the mod pack I'm currently playing and keeping an eye on as well.

I often don't get everything I want in a pre-built modpack (except for things like UHS2 that require an insane amount of testing, tweaking, etc), so I build my own. Horizons is cool, until I want to play with the classics again. TW2 is cool, until I want to play with magic. Ultimate is 1.4, and I've already moved onto 1.6. Unleashed is 1.5, and again, moved on to 1.6. ResRise is way laggy, and also missing some things I want to play with.

So again, I don't really like pre-built packs, as I can make my own in a few days, I don't get everything I want out of a modpack, because I like to tinker around with a bunch of different mods, rather than using theme.

Lots of packs are available to everyone. Custom packs, the various ATLAUNCHER packs, Technic, Hexxit.

At least an "other" category would jave been neat to see

No we don't. Its been stated many times now that the list that Slow mistakenly called the almost final, was nowhere near final. Earlier today/yesterday it was even hinted that there were many secret mods in the works for Monster, whereas one of them was Xenos Reliquary.

OT: cant vote on this since I enjoy Unleashed a lot, but I really want Monster. But I haven't tried it yet so cant tell how good it is. So not sure what you can tell from the results when several of the packs aren't even out yet.

Same here, though I'm looking forward to Magic World 2 instead of Monster. I played MW1 almost exclusively, and even in other packs I did the bare minimum of tech stuff (mostly just TE).

Not on the list, but I vote Other. My Omega Dawn custom pack. Has everything I need, and a few things that always seem to be missing from FTB

I use RR as a base, then modify the modlist and configs to my liking.
Out of the FTB packs, hmm, the last one I played was Direwolfs 1.4.7 pack, so let's say that one

RR is a good start, but like every single other pack (except for conversion packs like UHS/2 and Magic Farm/2), it does not include everything I want.
