My most hated? Just built tonight and already I HATE it:

OMG the NOISE!!!

My absolute favorite!
The packager

All my xycraft gems and auto-processed ingots get sent to the chest seen on the left. Filters pull out items when I get a stack of 9, and they get sent back into my auto-sorting system!

I accidentally found a new use for it tonight when I dumped a bunch of cobble into my auto craft furnaces and they started getting sent to my small chest, then I thought hey, it can make 2x2 items also, so a quick addition to a filter and auto stone bricks! Now to finish my roof :)

Nuclear reactors are horrible power generation for the risks and resources needed not only for it's self and all the stuff that you need in it but to setup a fully automated one is a nightmare because one bug/mistake on the setup and there goes the nuclear power plant. I could goes with mk1s auto setups with just replacing the uranium cells but I'm not
getting most out of the cells and reactor so why brother if you can goes solar or boilers power? I even thinks if you use all the resources you'd use the reactors you could get more EU/t out of every resource spent including automating the said setups. I'm not buying the reactor's power outputs until there a setup that beats other power generations at a lesser cost Including automating it. I don't get why some goes nuclear but I guess there have to be someone to finds out if they can beats other setups outputs and maintenance costs. My favorite is the Matter Fabricator I just love the uu matters being generated and can be puts to good uses for infinite resources making. (They makes Very good excess power user so if you can setup one ASAP and puts some scraps in it from time to time to not waste the unused power.)

Favorite? don't have 1 favorite machine.

Most hated? BC conductive pipes. Those things are so annoying blowing up if I walk away form them. I know I know I can use gates and stuff... but really Redstone Condunets don't have this issue. IC cables don't have this issue. But these gold pipes get a little to back up of power and BOOM! god I hate them so much.

My favorite machine is the manager. It makes it very easy to set up a sorting and retrieval system.

Least favorite is the sortron because it requires coding in forth.

My least favourite? The thermionic fabricator. It produces a liquid that cannot be pumped, and while it allows for a 25% discount on diamond gears, all diamond fabrications must be completed almost instantaneously or else the liquid diamond is drained into some god forsaken place where I can't get to it anymore.

My most favourite? The packet crafter. You only need 1 packet crafter for every configuration of full/empty crafting slots, This means that for recipes that require all 9 slots filled, you only need 1 craft packet crafter and just switch the order you pump items into it.

for example - get a sortron to pump in gold, obsidian, gold, diamond, ender pearl, diamond, gold, obsidian gold and BAM world anchor :D if a sortron pumps in copper glass copper glass sturdy machine glass copper glass copper BAM peat bog :D

the fact that 1 autocrafter can handle the entire host of 3x3 crafting recipes is amazing :3 I only wish that factorization would give us some sort of craftable placeholder for use in craft packet making. Maybe something made of paper and wood that when put into a craft packet maker, puts a block of nothingness in the slot. This would allow every recipe in the game to be created from the packet maker and the packet stamper connected to a sortron controlled RP2 tube network.

Wait, wait, hang on, how on earth do you switch the packet crafter's slots automatically? I had no idea you could do that! The material, yes, but not where on the packet it is.

they go in order. You cannot switch the NUMBER of slots that must be filled but you can change where items go by changing what order they enter. It is the easiest to do this with a 3x3 setup.

so if you want a timer, then do wafer, stone wire, wafer, stone wire, pointer, stone wire, anode, cathode, anode
if you want a sequencer then do, wafer cathode, wafer, cathode, pointer, cathode, wafer, cathode, wafer.

etc etc.

EDIT: since order absolutely matters using this technique, a sortron, turtle, or very clever redstone attached to transposers is required.

I actually hate the packager. The combination of so sloooow combined with a single input slot that holds onto partial stacks that can't be repackaged means you need a packager for every item. May as well use an autocrafter, at least that will pull from a chest

Are you talking about the same machine?

I can unload my entire inventory into that chest attached to the packager as fast as I can click with different items and it won't jam. I was TRYING to jam it to see if it had a limit or was something I needed to worry about. In fact I think the filters on a 200ms timer are too slow for it. I have it currently set up to condense 14 different items and haven't had a single problem.

OK, I could see it jamming up if you feed stuff directly into it. That's why I have a chest with (currently) 2 filters feeding mine. The filters are set to only pull items when there are 9 in the chest- a buffering system.

The setup. The system is right next to my scrap/massfab system (behind the stone bricks)

My filters. Yes, its making diamonds!

Nice job. Hamster. And someone said earlier a retrieval system with managers. How?

Favorite: Alveary. Bees are just awesome.

Least favorite: coke oven. It's so damn slow.

Favourite: Nuclear reactor, so much room for activiti- I mean it's fun to come up with setups.

Least favourite: thermionic fabricator, also don't like the instant-liquid system

Favorite: Sorting Machine from Redpower 2 - So very useful without being too expensive to make enough of them for all my uses.

Least Favorite: Buildcraft Refinery - I think it would just be better if it were replaced with some new machine that takes it's place. It just feels so out of place to me.

it's drains according to what I heard 1 MJ per 10 secounds so a single redstone engine would still works but it's just very slow and I heard it's doesn't emits power but it's still does. (yes I'm using Minecrack v7)

Least favorite machine: Forestry farms because I can almost never get them fully automated correctly and a Steve's carts cart can do the same things and be more hands off while easier to set up.

favorite Machine: this is hard to nail down but I have to say frame motors because I love my tunnel bores and without them they wouldn't move. Block breakers and deployers come in a close second for the similar reasons. If anyone is interested in a tunnel bore tutorial let me know as I love building them.

My favorite machine isn't quite a machine.. It's the Research Table. Anything relating to TC3 is just <3 for me. Otherwise, I guess it'd have to be the assembly table. BC gates are just so useful when used properly.

Least Favorite: Guess it's the coke oven. I agree with Exedra in that it takes way too long.

Favorite machine: Magma Crucible (Infinite lava? Oh yeah.)
Least favorite machine: Rock Crusher (Does nothing but make a lot of noise and use a lot of power, and the ore processing functionality is made obsolete by other mods)
