Hey there!
You can exploit the Minium stone to Duplicate Blaze rods, wich can be used in a generator for EU.

When you Macerate a Blaze rod, You get 5 Blaze Powder, and when you craft 2 Blaze powder with a Minium Stone, you get a Blaze rod Back. This can be used to duplicate Blaze rods.

If this is already known, im sorry, but i Just discovered it :)

You can get a blaze rod without visiting the nether with a Minium Stone and the desert flowers from Thaumcraft. The flowers drop Blaze Powder.

It's known. That was part of why blaze rods got nerfed as fuel for solid boilers. I guess the IC2 devs figured if you spent the effort on making a ton of generators, you might as well enjoy your infinite power loop.

Another decent power loop is scrap. You can make scrap with igneous extruders (with no power) over recyclers. The recyclers take 1EU/t and produce scrap that can be burned for more EU in a generator.

Yeah, the Tier 5 Blaze farm is a much easier way to farm blaze rods than using the minimum stone. Especially for those who still find EE3 too cheaty to use (MindCrack).

Of course, it is also trivial to make infinite power with MFR tree farms. And those do not require mob drops.

This was one of the main unlimited EMC loops back in the old EE2 days so it is very well known and balanced a bit by the fact that minion stones break after so many uses.

Yeah, but with a turtle powered mob farm you can have barrels full of minimum stones in no time.

If the shards dropped off turtle kills... they do not.

You can get unlimited uses with autocrafting tables though -- if you don't mind that exploit.

First off, you'll burn out your Minium Stone pretty quickly with that exploit. Second, I believe EE3 will detect if you have IC2/TE and will adjust the recipe to make a blaze rod out of blaze powder (and the recipes involving bone meal) accordingly.

You are correct. As one of the balancing features being added into EE3 over EE2, it will detect if a recipe generates, for this example, more blaze powder from a rod than vanilla and automatically requires the higher number to convert powder into rod.

EE3 seems to be moving slowly but all the myriad details are indicating it will be relatively well balanced for what it's capable of. :D

Sheesh. I just go for the complex contraptions that make me infinite stuff like;

MFR: Sewage from cows to Composter. Composter makes fertilizer which is used in ... a fertilizer. The fertilizer is used to make a tree grow. A tree is planted by a planter. A harvester is used to take down a tree. A tree gives wood. A sawmill makes more planks. Hobby steam engines make power from wood. Steam engines use infinite water from an aqueus accumulator. Combined with some filters and relays barrels and some tubing...

I was using it on rubber trees. Now I've got a bunch of that rubber for MFR AND because I used the saw mill, I got loads of sticky resin for IC2 ... Oh and that's not mentioning the extra wood planks I'm left over with. Hmm, guess I'll burn those too in something.

Who needs a minium stone and tricks when ya can kill trees for fun and profit. :)

Heh, I just discovered the scrap loop. You can even put 1 overclocker in the recycler and it increases the speed by 30%, while the extra EU consumption gets rounded back down to 1. I didn't think it would work when I first thought of it, thinking energy from cobble is just too good. But it did. I tested it with a generator, a recycler(1 overclocker), some pipes, and an AESU to grab the surplus EU. I made a HUGE info panel from the nuclear control mod so I could keep an eye on it from across the room while I was watching some movies. It's slow, but it eventually filled the AESU (100000000 EU). It takes 2 extruders to keep up with the overclocked recycler(about 1.5 actually), but I imagine If I scaled it up with a buttload of gennies, recyclers and extruders (plus cobble from mining operations) it could be pretty awesome.

I've never understood the need to use an "exploit" in a game that has creative mode a button press away. It's your game. Play it how you like.

People exploit on servers since they can not just cheat items in.

Why I never understood really since most server groups are more then willing to share if you need something.

EE3 is gonna be so freaking amazing when it's done. It already seems a lot more alchemical
I want some sort of chalk for writing alchemy circles and @!#$ on the ground. >:c And something like how Gregtech has the elements and everything on the items. and byproducts and splitting things up. I think that'd be great.

The main problem is not really the mod in most cases its us the player, some of use that have been around for a bit find ways you exploit an item in was there they may well not have been intended, then often results in an excess of a given mat or mats, at this stage as any form of a challenge the game is over, its social community time & building epic or at least interesting machine networks & or structures.

So in short stop blaming the mods we need to take the blame :), its human nature to take the easy route from point A to B.

Like people who blame solar panels for making the game too easy. I'd much rather make a complex, hard to build system to make my energy.
