Exception ticking world

    Hey, don't know if this is the right part of the forum, just registered ^^.
    I have a single player world that just started to crash, with the error Exception ticking world. I have no idea what to do. Here's (hopefully) the crash log.

    I have the same error after i restarted FTB. Both server and client crashes.

    Note that i have several backups of the server and each give the same error. I know it isn't the java update because after the update it still worked.

    The only think i can think of that caused it is either an autoupdate from a mod or the fact that my computer just switched from daylight savings to wintertime.

    @Beaterz & Syntium: Does ur country do daylight savings?

    Same error here, too... I just finished mining with my precious Wand of Excavation and BOOM! it crashed with the exact same crashlog.
    Hope it will get fixed soon. Miss my FTB World :C

    I've been developing a mod and I was getting the same thing during development today which made absolutely no sense. I thought it was something gone astray with memory management.. though I had a suspicion given the method name (onLivingSpecialSpawn) and the time this happened.. and the fact that my server (as well as other people's servers) got this error confirms my suspicions.

    IndustrialCraft is most probably adding seasonal content depending on the date (Post Halloween, or Christmas month or something), which apparently has a bug and crashes the server majorly. Now this is quite the pickle for server owners, as I highly doubt the guys at IC2 will push out a fix for this version of IC2 since they're hard developing their new version.

    Let's just hope it only happens on October 30th..

    Turning the difficulty to peaceful seems to work for me, that Special spawn thingy is apperently a hostile mob^^ :)

    I promise I didn't cause it! :rolleyes: While the timing really made me pull my hair, as I was testing the newest version of my mod and the server was crashing.. and I was like "WTF?!?!? My mod doesn't even remotely touch IC2 stuff". Spent a good two hours trying to figure out what on earth I'm doing wrong. I was disabling code here and there to no avail.. until I totally removed my mod and the crashes kept on.. that started firing alarm bells about Seasonal Content...

    I suppose that changing the server's date would also solve this.. of course it might interfere with scheduled tasks (like backups).

    Gah, I didn't keep the mappings of which mobs correspond to qr and qn, but as a seasonal event it seems that IC2 dresses up a particular type of mob with Nano suits, with a 10% chance of them being Quantum suits.

    If it's any conciliation, it looks more like the hostile mobs would be getting the quantum armour and nano-sabres .. which I admit would actually have been kinda fun. I'm guessing setting the drop probabilities to -1.0 via dropChances (aka the line that's crashing it) is intended to prevent the hostile mobs from dropping the armor if a player manages to kill one.

    I can't log in long enough to set the difficulty to peaceful before it crashes, is there a way to do it manually?

    Edit: I figured it out, in Direwolf20 you go to the options file and set difficulty to 0. It worked for me :)

    i have the same problem crashing FTB Ultimate after edit the server properties file the line:

    spawn-monsters= true

    to

    spawn-monsters=false

    works fine by me.

    Think it has to do with the Halloween hostile mob update for today :(

    I had the same problem as well.
    In FTB Ultimate Some Classes Were Deleted By FML Today.
    How Come It Does That?
    Nevermind about that question.
    It Says:

    My server is still going despite the error (though the server log is going crazy). I do however run mcpc plus which apparently has a more robust error handling.

    Boy, this whole thing is definitely making it into my minecraft radio show tonight.

    I was having the same problem and Ernst Kroeze was right. It is happening beacuse of Halloween. So how can you fix it? You can set your difficulty to Peacefull. This way you can play but without hostile mobs in your world. So there is another option. Change date in your computer on something around 9.10. This way FTB does not know that its Halloween and everything should be ok. (If this doesnt work, then disconnect your PC from the internet and try launching FTB again.)

    This is an easy way to fix this little bug. It worked nicely for me, so I hope this is gonna help you. This is an easy way for single player but idk how to change date on servers. . . I hope you find a way how to do it. ;)

    amazing this is a world wide crash, though changing difficulty to peaceful alone did not solved this, i also had to set spawn monsters to false, that seemed to have worked for me.

    hopefully this bug will only last today, kinda cheating without mobs on :(

    Since we all have this same problem, my guess would be that one of the mods has a halloween event in it, where it will spawn a special monster.
