People like me hmm? you namedropping? Don't be silly like that. I never said anything truly trollish. And I contribute aplenty to these forums. both in technical and not so technical threads as time and boredom permits. this ain't my day job ya know.
This whole thread was drama bait from the get go. probably unintentional, but that don't matter. there is nobody complaining about Elo actually saying something in public again, but there really is nothing constructive to add to this thread either. there is nothing to discuss here. If Elo never said anything in public again I'd not blame her. the way some people have been treating her lately. poking a little fun at people who have a hard time grasping this is not trolling. it's a quick slap in the face to wake em up.
Whatever Elo does is her business. we who like to play her mod are just random beneficiaries of her goodwill and skill at coding. nothing more and nothing less. Nothing anybody say on this forum is going to change that fact. so take a drink of your favorite beverage and relax.

And, if possible, more work in the frame area as there are some improvements that could make frames a good deal more interesting.

Whatever Elo does, it's gonna be welcome. But bug-fixes aplenty is certain. she's big on that.
Another thing that is also certain, is that we are going to have to resign ourselves to another long wait. It's the way of the cat, you never know when and where they will show up. but it's always good when they do*.

The thing I would like to see most would be a rework of the Redpower World module.
Volcanoes don't get along with EBXL, marble doesn't get along with Twilight Forest, either of them randomly plaster themselves over other mod's structures, and there's a ton of unconfigurable worldgen. And with "unconfigurable" I mean "doesn't even have a simple on-off switch".
It actually lost that functionality in the conversion to 1.3; in 1.2.5 it was possible.
Redpower World still works in the same way today as it did when it was first introduced... at the time it was revolutionary, but it's been what, a year since then? Minecraft modding has advanced tremendously over that time, and the module is starting to show its age, especially when paired with other mods that add worldgen that is not an ore (of which there were none when Redpower World was new).
However, I consider it unlikely that Eloraam will actually do this, since it technically still works as intended (collisions with other mods nonwithstanding), and there's probably other things she's been wanting to get done for a while.

Good gods, that would have taken forever to find. Although now I no longer have a reason to read the entire thread. She makes a great mod, but people complain about the lack of PR updates every time there is no news for about a week.
I don't know about you guys, but it happens to me that I don't want to check my e-mails for a day, or simply don't want to phone even my close family for monthes, just because I don't have anything worth to say.
And, just because it's too tempting, akamanu, do you do your private stuff at work?
Like managing your Facebook account, sending tweets, and all that?
Because in some companies, they just simply block those sites anyway, and in others, well, it can result in you being fired for using the company material for your personal benefit.

It would be nice of modders could somehow register dimensions with forge and flag a certain dimension as "please don't add stuff unless you know this is a Twilight forest dimension". It's not just Redpower volcanoes and marble (and I don't want to disable Marble anyway, it's lovely), I had Thaumcraft burrows in the middle of a TF maze for example. Looked kinda silly and it destroyed a spawner + chest too. I absolutely love volcanoes and marble though, I use it in most of my buildings because it looks so good together with vanilla brickwork.
I'm still missing a blutricity-conducting frame.
And maybe a frame that by default doesn't stick to anything (as if it had covers on all sides), unless you modify a specific side to do so. This would make automated assembly much easier. (Imagine assemblers deploying a quarry head to dig into the ground.)
And uh perhaps interrupts in 65EL02. Active waiting makes an unhappy programmer.

A blutricity conducting frame could be neat, would have to behave just like a redstone one where you need the jacketed wire to connect to it.
If she is back to working in it full time then it shouldn't be too long of a wait, but since i haven't really experienced any of the bugs so many others have i am not too worried.
Tbh i am going for more machines or tools, what with our more powerful wire and powergen, and that charging bench that can only charge a screwdriver

What I hope for is with renewed interest for Redpower, there will be a renewed interest in programming Redpower's computer. Wish I was better at coding. Would love to have a visually-programmed RP2 computer. Ladder logic, like for programming a real-world PLC, would be great.
The only thing the RP computer can do that CC can't is the Sortron. If the RP computer is ever going to get any degree of popularity among those with CC installed (such as, all FTB users), it will come down to a race between Eloraam adding something else and significant for it to do, and RichardG fixing MiscPeripherals to a usable state (as in, doesn't eat or dupe your items and make you rewrite your code every other update).
I have in my mind a very sophisticated and interactive sorting system using the Sortron, but without interrupts in Forth it would come down to actively waiting 99% of time. And although pretty much everyone would just spam uncontrolled timers everywhere without second thoughts, this is a thing that matters to me.
As a matter of fact, even a simple "sleep until a redstone signal" would make iteasy possible to couple RP and CC systems to a great extent.
