As a matter of fact, even a simple "sleep until a redstone signal" would make it easy possible to couple RP and CC systems to a great extent.

Is there any way you could use a ComputerCraft computer for that functionality while using an RP computer for the rest of the functionality? I cannot think of anything offhand, but I have to really get into RP computers.

No, the problem is reverse. I'd like an ability to activate the sortron on demand (e.g. an item enters the sorting chest). I can detect this using BC gates and send a redstone signal. I could use CC to detect this, but only the sortron allows me to identify the item* and send it down a colored tube network. There is no way to signal a RP computer, other than having it actively wait for a redstone signal.

*I still don't trust MP not to mess with item IDs in the near future, or for that matter not to start eating my items the moment I brick the aperture inaccessibly behind a wall.

** Now that I think of it, SORTMATCH might be a form of passive waiting by sending dummy items through a second sortron... needs investigating.

I really need to make a video of my golem+cc sorting system prototype to show people. You can do exactly this only without tubes. The principle is that you place chests next to a CC sorter with golems waiting on each side. The golems are set to move any item to a specific color. The bottom pass of the sorter is to a bridge to another machine for more colors.

It's more expensive and weirder, but it's fun to watch and has some very powerful applications, and also has totally different space constraints that end up looking really cool. You end up making golem tunnels instead of tubes.

I really want to implement a combination of BC pipes (especially that under-appreciated emerald pipe, which I am now using for bog earth production and it rules) and TC for a full sorting system just for the novelty. Redpower tubes are done to death, and my-necraft is all about being too cool for school. :)

meh, I would have preferred a nandonalt exit, we got already better microblocks that work with pipes, liquiducts and cables, AC, powercraft with more logic gates, etc.

It's good to have options, I suppose. However, I would be reluctant to put powercraft in the same league. It's not very balanced, and has corrupted more that a few of my test worlds. Not a fan of Immibis' stuff, either (unintentional pun), for whatever irrational reason.

The real problem with your "we already got" statement, however, is that it's more suitably applied to Redpower; we already have that functionality in one mod.

...Please.

And, if possible, more work in the frame area as there are some improvements that could make frames a good deal more interesting.
And how about some more compatibility... Let microblocks work on pipes and wires like the ones form immibis. Let other shit interface with redpower objects. Let me hide glass fiber under a stone cover and let me hide a pneumatic tube inside some construction foam!

It's not that simple. Everything RP that is cover-able had to be made with that in mind.

Covering pipes can be done with facades....

But, sadly, they don't block pipes. I'd love another façade craft to be added that lets them block connections between pipes, similar to how you can block cables using microblocks.

Except Immibis has done it, so it's obviously possible (granted, they are aesthetic-only, but then the mods have their own way of blocking connections anyway so that's all we need).

Never having played with Immibis's covers, can you place other objects (torches, redstone, etc.) on them? That is a fairly significant feature.

If they work similarly to BC facades (which I'd imagine they do), then yes- much like how the flat side of a slab/stair that's covers the whole side of a block space acts just like it's a regular block.

This is great! I can't wait to see what's in store :D. But on another note...she's still sort of cut off from all public communications (in other words, there is no possible way to get in contact with her unless you actually know her i.e. Forgecraft).

The thing I would like to see most would be a rework of the Redpower World module.

Volcanoes don't get along with EBXL, marble doesn't get along with Twilight Forest, either of them randomly plaster themselves over other mod's structures, and there's a ton of unconfigurable worldgen. And with "unconfigurable" I mean "doesn't even have a simple on-off switch". :p It actually lost that functionality in the conversion to 1.3; in 1.2.5 it was possible.

Marble gets along even LESS well with mystcraft. :( Even now, marble generation can bring a server to its knees if an age generates with a lot of bare stone, and the mystcraft dev has no real way of preventing this.

Lot of times even in single player for a cave world it can just corrupt the map leaving the system in a crash on start state. Have to edit files to move player out of that age, then delete out the age to keep system from crashing instantly.

Yeah, being in single player isn't really a protection against problems like this anymore, since they use the same client/server architecture whether you're playing online or not.

Well you can take the Skylands symbol out of the config, but yeah, it's still a problem for players who like those kind of ages.
