Been there done that. The Thaumonomonomonomonomicon doesn't really show you how to build the structure.
Last I checked, the structure wasn't a strict blueprint. It was more of a "meet these conditions and it will work" type structure.
My bad. I didn't even notice the date. This thread popped up when I was looking for something and I did a bad thing - I assumed. Specifically, that it was somewhat current.
