Hi folks,
I've set up a small Feed the Beast server for my friends and I, and we're enjoying bumbling along following tutorials for the individual mods. I've been playing with Buildcraft and Thermal Expansion, and was just about to build my first quarry. I was greatly confused by the fact that the recipe on my server was not the same as the recipe in the Buildcraft wikis and tutorials! After some research, I found that this was because the mod "Gregtech" is altering them. After some more research, I found that this can be altered by changing the, e.g. "ExpensiveBCQuarryRecipe" parameter in the "usefullrecipes" (sic) section of the Gregtech config, but I also found people claiming that making this change on the server side would lead to desynchronization - that the users would not see the correct recipes in their NEI views.
Is this true? Is there really no way to disable Gregtech's intrusion on the Buildcraft mod, and have users be able to see the correct recipes, without me pushing a custom version of the config file to each of my friends individually and having them manually replace their version of the file?
