DW20 have standard mod and i think they're enough.

I waited for Monster, and I hate it. Everyone wanted FTB Ultimate for 1.6 and it's far from it. It has no focus, and it feels so bloaty.

The closest FTB pack to Ultimate is DW20s pack, by a large margin, no surprise it's what many people are playing. It has a nice mod focus and not much bloat. While there's a few mods I don't want (Billund, Hats, Morph) and a few mods I would like (Chisel, EnderIO, DamageIndicators, ArmorStatusHUD), it's still the best pack out of the bunch.

Monster isn't really for general gameplay, it's more for slowpoke's new FTB map. Although dire should really do Rotarycraft, there needs to be more tutorials on that IMO.

Personally, I'm playing Monster, but I'm not really happy with it atm. I think I'm sort of missing the old GT, w/ the Ind.Grinder etc, but no OTT changes to other mods like it seems to do these days. So still looking for other packs.

Honestly, I find this a tad disappointing in that what should have been the flagship FTB pack for 1.6 is constrained by such strict limitations.

Meh. It has a bunch of mods that don't really add much new, like Expanded Redstone.

I started playing DW20 but found I was missing a few mods I liked. Also tried Monster and found that for lack of a better word "Broken". I find myself look for a pack like Ultimate, I did like enjoy Unleashed for 1.5.2. I was going to give Tech world 2 ago but I made my own pack.

What!!?!? Hats isn't laggy, and if you don't want lag why are you even playing FTB? I haven't have any problems with the mod, except for IChun not naming a hat after me, and there not being gregtech themed hats (which is fair since a lot of people seem anti-gregistic).

No, but Hats generates a lot of data for itself, almost akin to different dimension mods due to the large amount of hats.

To be on topic, I voted for DW20, but that's debatable because I've changed it / added a lot of mods to fit my own playstyle.

Edit: Also, a lot of people have made spreadsheets comparing all the mods. It's just that it's on random threads and in random posts all across the board.
