As it fits nicely with GalactiCraft I feel that my mod RFTools would also fit. In addition to exploring the planets in our own solar system you will have to guide the Orion ship towards distant galaxies and new dimensions.

(is that roughly the idea? :)

I believe he plans on including this, I'm not too sure though. You'd have to ask Dungeonmaster.

I have the initial mods working so far I will be adding a few more Galacticraft Addon plugins here shortly and then working in the configs. Once done I may add in mekanism as well which will allow for making of fuel and duplication of ores as well as a good tool for adding oxygen.

Hello Everyone,

I have just finished up my stuff I will be handing my pack to the next person in line which is PaisleyPlayfully. I will have the link from drop box shortly.

I have added a few things to the pack and those changes include the following

Galacticraft, More Planets, Applied Energistics, Archemedies Ships, RFTools. I didn't really get around to changing up any of the configs just yet or look at custom npcs just yet. Feel free to setup a map for us to work on if you would like that sort of thing.

Also would like to add, that there is an other option for us. If you would like to create a trello account we have a projects board which would also help us keep up with our progress.

I am currently having issues with github and cant seem to push commits through on the project there. This is my issue not the project page or anything like that. I just have issues with this.

However Beer and myself were playing with slack a bit and I have set up a trello and he setup a project channel on slack so we can work around this. This is optional but this is also another way I feel that we can even better keep up with changes being made and adjust to future plans from each of us working on the project.

How to proceed from here:

If you would like to use trello create an account and give us your trello name and Beer or myself can get you added in to the trello project.

I also want to add about trello that would also be good is you can also add in screenshots to something if you have issues with something not working or to show off something you may be testing.

You can also do this to explain with examples as well. This I think can be better than trying to write everything out.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update. The pack has now been handed over to me and while I'm not much of a pack maker I am a builder so my main focus will be on 'setting the scene' so to speak. I'll be giving the pack a good look over tonight to see how I might help bring to life the backstory Dunge has come up with. Most likely it'll be tweaking BoP, building Orion's crash sight where players will start the story...that sort of stuff. I'll post a few screenshots when I have something to show, so stay tuned!

Sorry, just been really busy! Things are going good just haven't had much time to work on the pack. Hopefully find a little time this weekend to post an update!

Hi all!
Sorry again for the lack of updates. I feel as if I've gone from having all the free time in the world to running around like a lunatic on fire :p But in my spare time I've been hard at work on the pack and I think I've reached a point where I'm ready to share (and most importantly get feedback on) what I've been up to. Over the next week I'll be posting about the few major additions I've been working on but let's start by talking about world generation:

From the little bit of backstory Dunge has revealed so far, it's clear to see this modpack is going to be about adventuring into new worlds. Our hero might of crash landed on this planet, but we aren't going to want him to stay there...so my thought was to turn the overworld into a inhospitable environment. Using Biome Tweaker, Climate Control, a little of CoFH custom world gen configs and far more time than I'd care to admit; I've managed to turn the overworld into a barren ice wasteland:

Everywhere you look appears to be endless glaciers, snow, frozen icicles and rivers. But how are you going to survive? Once you've located your crash site and gathered what supplies you can carry you'll need to find somewhere you can make a small base. Luckily you know, from previous surveys, whatever destroyed this planet hasn't gotten to it all. In small pockets dotted around the planet, life can still be found clinging on:

In these small frozen forests you be able to collect a little wood and a few seeds. If you're lucky you might find a couple animals that have survived in this harsh climate, but that'll only be a few chickens or sheep. But wait, there is another alternative too:

Ocean creatures have managed a little better, the squid have survived by living in small ocean thermals. You'll know when you've come across one as the kelp are also growing strong and healthy in the warmer water.

Thoughts?
I'm still working on tweaking the biomes, specifically I'm looking to get rid of the snow layer in some biomes (to encourage mob spawning :mad:) but I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet...
