Well if you are gonna do this, why not stop at gravel and use the coal?
Or if you want to be a badass, replicate @Landstryder farm and shove food in a culinary gen :3
I'm actually doing that now in my world. Not right now though, just saying. I'm using a block placer and an automatous activator breaking the cobble that's generated from a generator under it and having the gravel pumped to a auto-siever :), and I manually move the coal/ wood I have to some survivalist gens. It's enough to power some pulverizers, a redstone furnace and an energetic infused for my leadstone jetpack ;)

redstone generators are 320 rf/t each, while the best consistent output you can get with coal is 80 rf/t afaik, that other weird furnace generator that burns at random numbers based on how much fuel it has or how long it's burned or I dunno what never made a whole lot of sense to me. It's kind of a pain to "take land" in crash landing and make it safe so I usually treat size as an important factor.

As far as culinary generators go, tbh I don't even know how they work. I suppose you could shove a ton of supreme pizzas in there if you had a large enough farm or enough bonemeal, but it seems like a hassle without AE automating it, and if you have AE automating it you should already be established enough to not need power, heh.

Steve factory manager>AE

Lazy peeps go wall of xyz
Normal people go redstone gen then probably big reactor
Crazy people go for culinary generator and those kind of stuff ;)

Definitely disabled...I was hoping to make use of the hundreds of stacks of salt/zombie flesh I have to generate some power. Still working on finding uses for all the arrows I have...line my trench with pressure plates and dispensers full of arrows for giggles, maybe?

Personally I've got 5 reactant dynamos, 2 furnace generators, and 5 TNT generators (make sure you muffle them and put them a ways away...I initially skipped the mufflers and buried them 5 deep ,and not only was it unbearably loud, but I was taking a lot of damage from them. I've got them muffled and 10 deep now, and I still occasionally take a half heart of damage from them.) This runs 4 harvesters, 3 planters, 12 pulverizers, 2 grinders, my kinetic compressor, a redstone furnace, an autopackager, and a fluid transposer. Other incidental machines can be hooked up and used as needed, and I haven't had any power issues.

I have to admit, I considered putting the TNT generators in my trench just to grief the mobs...

there is something poetic about slaughtering hundreds/thousands of creepers with explosions... there are more efficient ways to grind mobs, but vengence is not always about efficiency :)

And now I want to make a test mob farm in a creative test world using TNT generators ;) who knows? With some sort of item collection it could be really efficient! (Most likely not ;)

So, no early game lava gen?
Nope, all means of lava generation is disabled. I think the maker wants you to find other ways to generate power. Also, the lava gens wouldn't really do anything because there is literally no nether. You could make some lava fabs from MFR and do it, but I assume they are disabled as well

With ex nihilo you have access to infinite lava pretty early, probably earlier than you could get most pumps built.

I actually forgot I had an infinite lava crucible set up lol. But is there really any use for it? All the gens are disabled. In means of power

until late game, not really, I was just responding to the lava gens would be useless cause no nether comment.....

The infinite lava does make for a nice infini furnace using a transposer to fill buckets, but until pnuematicraft large volumes of lava are not horribly important.

Oh. And by the way, I'm using a mobile device, and whenever I refresh the page, my last reply is on the bottom, grayed out, and I need to delete it whenever I want to right something.
[DOUBLEPOST=1409943871][/DOUBLEPOST]and that's what happens with it lol.

out of curiosity, why are large volumes of lava needed with pneumaticraft? I've got a 5X5X5 compression chamber, kinetic compressor, etc., and I don't think I've used any lava for pneumaticraft. My crucible is just keeping my smeltery full and making obsidian via stone barrels.

It's not needed for pnuematicraft, but if you WANTED to make use of it the generators that can use it are gated behind pnuematicraft

I was mistaken, I thought there where options for putting the lava to work that where gated behind pnuematicrft. At this point I don't see many uses for mass amounts of lava. I do need to see how it works piped through a sieve as a source of fish though.
