The Agricultural Revolution has greatly affected history. It changed our lives from being people wandering around picking berries and hunting animals in the Paleolithic Eden, into members of societies and civilizations. It grew (pun intended) into being the roots of almost everything that we use today. It created inequalities across the world and between genders, as well as turning our once healthy lifestyle into one in which illnesses are the norm. For better or for worse, the Agricultural Revolution has changed the way we live life as we know it.
The Earth used to be like an Eden. Humanity was not a huge power, only another type of animal wandering and attempting to survive. We were healthy and peaceful, living off the berries we found and the animals we could hunt. Everyone was the same, every person had the same job, the same role in society. There was no discrimination within tribes. But, once people began farming, everyone settled down, and abandoned the healthy lifestyle they once had. Instead of tribes wandering through nature, we were suddenly civilizations in cities and villages. The Agricultural revolution forced us from our peaceful lives, and there’s no going back.
