Oh, yea, pick-block. I use "," (old nethack "pick up what i'm standing on" when autopickup was off.)

Yes, I've seen two button plus scroll wheel mice.

But the key point is this: Binding something to a physical action, and not telling people about that physical action, is a PITA. It's like those old games where you had to click on everything on-screen, and hope you found the right small collection of pixels because nothing else would work.

Not really possible. It would be mod-dependent due to the fact I have no platinum block, and because of the way glows work with regards to item metadata, changing mods in an instance would mean changing glow types or even crashes.

For the ethereal door, I am having trouble making them. I put the components in the table and I could see the door blocks but not take them. So I hit the table with the elemental manipulator and lights came out and my components disappeared but no doors. What am I doing wrong please? Thank you.

At that point you open up the inventory and you can then take them out of it.
 
Thats just it. There is nothing in my inventory, nothing in the table. The components are gone and no doors.
Probable stupid question: Did you set up any kind of automation for the casting table that might've sucked up your door? Even if you just put a chest right next to it, the table might've dumped the doors in there.

Also, have you tried any other casting recipes recently? Do they work?

This is a known bug. To fix it either replace the +XX:UseConcMarkSweepGC java tag with +XX:UseG1GC or use java 7.
 
A question and a couple requests:

I can't seem to find anything at the locations the radar points me to. I dug a 5x5 hole to bedrock on one point and found nothing, though there were a couple stone blocks that were clearly undiscovered chromaticraft blocks. Not sure what resources I still have yet to discover but is that what the radar is pointing me towards? I was under the impression from the achievment that I should be finding dimension cores.

@Reika Would it be hard to make the chromic lexicon save where it was last open to? It would save a bit of time used to scroll down to the structures. (Same goes for casting delegate)

Also could you add a search function to the casting delegate? Or at least make it so you can loop around backwards through the items. It's annoying to make raw crystals since I have to go through nearly every item in chromaticraft to get to it.

I like this idea. It's a great Quality of Life improvement and doesn't need to be super reliable or persist through logouts or even dimension changes, and it would be almost as nice for the Rotary/Reactor/Electri-Craft books, too.

I'm playing around lately with chromaticraft and think it's a really nice mod, looks great and has some nice features, from what I unlocked so far (still a long way to go).

One question though:
Is there some special tool in the mod (that I havn't found yet) for picking up some of the items again?


Like the crytsall orchestra. I accidently placed it (curse this auto-refill option sometimes!) but the only way I would not destroy it was with silk touch.
Similar problem with the ethereal doors. The waila-tooltip says I need a pickaxe, but after the "break"-animation the door-piece is still there and it unbreakable from this point on. Wondering if that is a bug or if you actually need a special tool for this to work)
 
I think you can shift-right click them with the manipulator. At least, that's how you pop off repeaters, tile accelerators, and a handful of other odds and ends.

One of the many things I tried out before posting here ^^
It only makes the "Pull energy from pylon"-animation but doesn't do anything about picking the things up again. (I crafted pretty much everything but the rune-crafting pickaxes and the linker, so anything tier 2 related, and tried it out. Like this "chroma.share", nothing worked so far)
 
Huh, that's odd. I think there's a slight bug involving the ethereal door not wanting to be harvestable after its been linked with its neighbours...at least, that was my experience with them. The key should be able to open them, though, might need to fiddle with the doors using the manipulator to get it to work properly.

The key is working fine, you just have to shift-right'click on every part of the door for the key to open them (so a 3x3 door you need to link all 9 ethereal doors to the key so all opens).

I tried placing a single ethereal door down, even that has the same issue. it gets "broken" by animation but then becomes unbreakable.
So I guess this is a bug. Not sure where to report them (looked into Reika's githhub but there is no issue-page from what I can tell)
 
Reporting it here is fine, I think Reika's got a separate thing for issues on his Github. If memory serves, this is a known issue that will likely be resolved by the time v10 rolls out.

It'll be fixed in v10, whenever that's ready. For now you'll have to break them in creative.
